After extensive research and development, the Countryman E6 Earset microphone emerges as a top-tier, virtually invisible vocal microphone. It is expertly designed to deliver superior voice pickup while effectively rejecting surrounding noise and feedback. This high-performance microphone features an ultra-miniature electret condenser element, strategically positioned close to the mouth by a thin, flexible boom and a comfortable earpiece.
Available in both omnidirectional and pattern-adjustable directional versions, the E6 Earset is incredibly lightweight, weighing less than one-tenth of an ounce. Its discreet design blends seamlessly against the skin, allowing performers to forget they're even wearing a microphone. The classic E6 is an excellent choice for individual users, with a stiffer boom that can be adjusted for a perfect fit, stored away, and quickly reworn.
The E6 Earset stands out as one of the smallest, lightest, and least visible head-worn microphones in the market. Its stainless steel boom is remarkably durable, capable of being bent and re-bent multiple times to accommodate different performers. The E6 is also highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.
The versatile E6 Earset boasts a flexible boom that can be easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Its changeable omnidirectional protective caps allow you to shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid, and you can choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 120 dB SPL capability.
The Countryman E6 Earset is renowned for its exceptional sound quality, delivering rich, full band audio quality that rivals performance handheld and instrument microphones. Its easy adjustment keeps the mic in the perfect position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional Earsets reduce feedback by an average of 12 dB compared to an omnidirectional lavalier, while the directional E6 Earsets provide even more isolation, making them excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.
Unlike other microphones, the E6 features a replaceable cable, meaning a worn cable doesn't require purchasing a completely new mic. An E6 replacement cable can be installed in seconds, and snap-on miniature super rugged cables are available for almost any wireless transmitter.
The E6 Earset should always be used with a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone. The three omni caps each have a different high-frequency response characteristic that controls the amount of "crispness" or "sibilance" (response at 15 kHz). The omni ships with the +4 dB protective cap fitted to the mic, which meets the needs of the majority of users. Use the +0 cap for recording instruments like flutes or violins or if you experience problems with high-frequency feedback. For the directional version of the E6, the protective caps modify your earset's pickup pattern, providing the best isolation and sound quality for your specific needs.
