Each lens is color balanced and compatible with our existing ranges, ensuring consistency across the series.

The /i Technology incorporated into the lens records key data for every shot, eliminating uncertainty from set-to-post information.

The lens is expertly crafted using traditional grinding and polishing techniques to achieve the highest level of precision. More insights and measurements are taken than ever before to ensure superior quality. The glass is coated and cemented with minerals evaporated at high temperatures in a vacuum, creating a thin film on the glass. The glass diameters are perfectly round, thanks to meticulous edging.

The optical design of the 27mm T2.2 Panchro/i Classic FF Prime Lens ensures maximum performance at full aperture, with superior control of flare, distortion, and spherical aberration. The lens features a max aperture of T2.2 and an Academy Award-winning cam-style focus movement. This, coupled with a large lens barrel diameter, allows for an increased number of focus markings, particularly at close focus. A four-point contact bearing provides a smooth, positive, backlash-free movement.

The ergonomically designed focus scale marks change from conventional focus scale distance marks to magnification ratio marks through the movement. At the factory, every focus mark is individually calibrated and engraved on both sides of the focus barrel. The /i Technology is accessible via a cable connector near the lens mount and contacts in the mount that sync with /i compatible cameras and accessories.

The 27mm T2.2 Panchro/i Classic FF Prime Lens is designed for all shooting applications, including handheld and Steadicam, providing a comfortable balance ratio with the latest compact cameras. All Cooke PANCHRO/i Classic FF lenses have a common fixed front diameter of 110mm, with a focus drive gear of 140T x 0.8 mod and an iris drive gear of 134T x 0.8. The lenses are color balanced, color-matched, and compatible with other Cooke Lenses. A nine-leaf linear module iris assembly is housed in the Cooke PANCHRO/i Classic FF series. The lens is compatible with PL mounts with /i Technology contact pins.
