This fiber optic cable is the only type permitted in spaces defined as air plenums, including raised flooring systems and air handling ducts. Unlike traditional PVC cables, Plenum cables are designed to self-extinguish and prevent reignition, providing an added layer of safety. In addition, they produce significantly less smoke when exposed to fire, reducing the risk of toxic fumes.
