Ideal for a variety of applications, these versatile wipes can be used to clean scanners, CDs, mirrors, lenses, telescopes, and even ink jet print heads. Their soft texture makes them safe for use on all types of sensitive surfaces, including both coated and uncoated photographic lenses, binoculars, and telescopes.
These convenient 4x4" wipes are particularly effective for cleaning 35mm film and other small areas, as well as lenses and other sensitive optics. When used with PEC-12, they can be safely applied to all hardened photographic emulsions, including films and papers. However, they should be used with extreme care on 35mm chromogenic film to avoid scratching the easily damaged base of these films.
The PEC PADs can also be used to clean optical glass surfaces when used with Eclipse Optic Cleaner or Aeroclipse, allowing you to clean only the dirty portion of a lens or other optical surface, thus eliminating the problem of "hazy swirls". They are not recommended for cleaning CCD sensors in 35mm DSLRs due to the risk of damage from improper handling.
