brush came without either the case or box...for this kind of price, you'd have thought that it would have been included...rather lame, Adorama...

This time of year we have an issue with static on our glassware and it makes it impossible to get a valid reading on an Analytical balance. The Static Master Brush solves this issue by removing the charged particles and thus providing us with the ability to get a stable reading on the balance. Thank you so much!

Polonium has a half-life of about 6 months. So to effectively take full advantage of this product, replace the cartridge at least annually. Every six months is even better. The Russians took ten of these brushes, ground up the radioactive elements and killed a spy who had defected by putting the ground up Polonium element in his sushi. He died a most horrific death. If you don't believe this use the popular search engine [redacted} and see for yourself! I suggest you use it for cleaning lenses or film. I may still have a 3" model, bought 30 or 40 years ago, with jaguar hair [softer than camel hair!], but the 1" model is great for getting dust off static laden lenses or filters. Staticmasters once were mainly used for film [what's that?] cleaning prior to enlargement . The price is obscene but what's new. Maybe for my birthday I will ask for a replacement Polonium element.

I bought the brush to use in removing dust from slides in preparation of scanning. It does a good job and is especially useful for removing the static electrons by providing a stream of alpha particles. Of course this means the radioactive source has a limited shelf life whether it is used or not... I was shocked by the high price but would buy another when the need arises.

I use the product to remove the dust from slides and photos prior to scanning them. The brush works very well. Easily takes the dust and deposits off of the surface without any effort.
