It takes a little practice to get all the dust off. Especially figuring out the angles as you swipe across to the end. Especially when you get to the edge. It took me six swabs to get it without a single spot of dust. This was my first cleaning ever on my D700, over 2 1/2 years old so that could also be the reason for needing extra swabs. Even with six swabs and solution its about 1/2 the cost of sending my camera out. Next time I bet I can do it with only three swabs now that I know how to do it. I would say if you are not good with paying attention to extreme detail your mileage might vary.... 4 stars not because there is anything wrong with the product, but because of the difficulty and cost of the swabs.

The combination of these swabs and the sensor cleaning solution is a miracle. My sensor is as clean as the day I got the camera. i had some particularly stubborn spots on my sensor and tried to clean them with everything I could find including canned air. Big mistake. Left residue all over my sensor. I hate cleaning spots in Photoshop! THese swabs are expensive but they work perfectly. I was afraid to clean my sensor but these swabs are just the right size. (Make sure you get the right size for your sensor; APS-C or full frame). After one cleaning 99% of the spots were gone. I had to clean it a second time but then it was like new. It was easy to do and nothing to be afraid of. I recommend watching the how to video on their website.

These swabs work but it takes a lot of them to get a clean sensor and makes it a very expensive and somewhat frustrating job. You cannot clean a sensor and get it done right without a lighted magnifier to inspect the surface and locate dust or spots that you missed. It would be good if there was some very small swabs to get individual peices of dust. I don't know any alternative for sensor cleaning. Brushes and blowers just move the dust around. This will pick it up but not with one pass. You may used 5 or 6 swabs or even more before your sensor is free of specs and dust. After at least 6 I gave up and sent the camera in to Nikon for cleaning.

Sensor was really dirty. Sent camera to local shop for cleaning, they couldn't get it clean. Sent camera to Canon, they couldn't get it clean. Used these, with Eclipse Cleaner, and it's now clean. Suggestions: 1. Watch the how-to video (pay attention!): 2. Don't rush it: 3. Expect to use more than 1 or 2 swabs (I needed about 12). I plan to keep these on hand and use them in the future.

I have used Sensor Swabs for multiple Canon DSLRs with both crop and full frame sensors. When used as directed, I have always had good results and have never had any negative effects with the sensor.

Left liquid residue, dust, and other contamination on my sensor. Maybe my package was more saturated with solution than most, but I felt I should mention that for at least one person, things did not go well.

Using these sensor swabs makes easy work of cleaning your dslr camera sensor. Simply review the online video instructions; they make it quite clear how to properly use the product. Have patience and understand that you may have to use several swabs to completely clean your sensor, depending on how much dust has been allowed to build up.

I had a small spot, apparently oil, on the sensor of my Nikon D800. I was reluctant to send it back to Nikon for service, and I was also reluctant to try to clean it myself. Torn between two unpalatable options. Well, I'd seen these recommended by many folks on the internet, so I ordered some and gave it a shot. Used with the Eclipse cleaner, they cleaned my sensor perfectly the first try! Very highly recommended. You will need to buy the Eclipse cleaner to work with these swabs.

I had tried a couple of other methods of sensor cleaning (other swabs, vacuum air), and this was the only one that worked on the first try. Used with Eclipse cleaner, my sensor is now almost perfectly clean.

I am new to digital photography and soon discovered to problem with dust on the sensor. After trying to simply use a blower to remove dust with some success I bought the sensor pads and cleaner and was able to remove all the dust. The Sensor Swabs work very well.

Pec pad + sticks are less than $10, I don't see any reason this sells at the price

No problems, other than expensive.
