The Sescom SES-X-FA2 audio over fiber extender kit is a useful kit that can send 2 channels of balanced audio via XLR connectors up to 12 miles via single mode fiber or up to 984 feet via multimode fiber. Each channel is switchable between mic and line level, giving you the flexibility to convert line level audio to mic level. Non-conductive fiber cable does not pick up signal interference and noise typically associated with longer analog audio runs, making for a quieter signal.

This plug-and-play kit can also run on AC power, or be powered by 9-volt batteries, meaning a hardline power source is not required, and this kit is truly field-ready.
