Just the perfect solution for portable deployments where weight and space are at a premium, the Camplex HF-FUWPUW-7 Mini SMPTE cable assemblies are designed with Gepco HDC720HD 7.8mm cable and LEMO FUW-PUW connectors. These assemblies are significantly more compact and lightweight than the traditional 9.2mm steel strength member cables, making them ideal for truck and camera connections.

The innovative design replaces the steel with a Kevlar strength member that boasts the same pull strength as steel, but with the added benefits of being lighter and more flexible. This means these cables lay flat, making them easier to deploy and reel back onto the drum. The Kevlar also expands and contracts at the same rate as the glass members during temperature extremes, ensuring the elements within the cable stay aligned and reducing migration.

The power conductors in these cables are comprised of two 16 AWG conductors, allowing them to achieve the same distance performance as a regular SMPTE 311 cable. The Gepco cable is also equipped with bend-insensitive fiber, which minimizes optical loss when bending and handling.
