Was phobic about touching the sensor. But after paying $125 for a cleaning, I decided I could have purchased the Arctic Butterfly. Need to be careful about what the brush touches--sensor area only, but the online video tutorials are good. It is expensive and the materials/construction seem flimsy. But overall, get over sensor phobia and clean it yourself.

Even with cameras that have the auto-cleaning sensor, you're going to get dust and dirt in there eventually (unless you never take your lens off I guess). This tool does an excellent job, even though it's expensive. There's a good chance you will need to buy swabs and cleaning solutions as well. It can be dizzying, so if you're not sure what you need, call first. This is an excellent tool for the dry method of cleaning your sensor.

This unit works as advertised. Very easy. Bright light. Kinda plasticy feeling. Probably wouldn't survive a drop off the table. Very expensive.

This product works as advertised and functions well. I'm concerned that the switch seems fragile but it's worked 4 or 5 times for me so far. The LED is super bright. This item is very expensive...I'm having a hard time figuring out why.

The Arctic Butterfly 724 ® Super Brite improved version features 2 bright LED's that illuminates the sensor while in operation. This illumination reduces the possibility of fibers being dragged accidentally against the surrounding cavity hence reducing the potential cause of smear usually caused by contaminated fibers.
The bright LED's of Arctic Butterfly ® 724 Super Bright VD makes the dust locating an easier task for sensor cleaning operator. The DC rotary engine has been modified to meet a certain RPM that generates the optimal centrifugal forces enabling as speedy dust rejection while increasing the charge enhancement of the fibers.
These combined patented features that includes SCF (Super Charged Fibers) by implementing nano-coating technology for charge enhancements and by using super thin fibers for maximum lift capability along rotary motion for cleaning / charging without the use of canned air makes the Arctic Butterfly 724 ® Super Brite VD a superb sensor cleaning tool.
Because of its safety features all models of Arctic Butterfly ® can be safely used on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coated sensor and DLSR's with built in sensor cleaning systems
