It took two swabs to get my D800 sensor (filter in front) clean, but that's most probably because it was so filthy to begin with. Before starting it was smeared with an Exxon Valdez sized oil slick. I thought the camera needed a "Nikon return for CLA" treatment, but Visible Dust did the job. Don't be afraid, view a U-tube video or two first if you're unsure....

I used to service my Canon 5D at Calumet and they were great, except it was a pain to drop the camera off on certain days for cleaning. I was scared to do it myself because obviously it's easy to damage the sensor, but not any more. It was exposed to beach, dirt (from backpacking), and just normal lens changing etc. I had 8 easily noticable spots. Since the 5d has no self cleaning feature I think this is the most effective solution. Directions are simple, wet swab with the included solution and wipe. Visable dust offers different solutions for your needs (dry to oily dirt?). I think this kit is perfect for a typical real life situation.

I was a little confused on what to do with the lid on the little liquid bottle but figured it out after a little bit. Once I got that one figured out, I was able to clean the sensor with the the camera set to Mirror Up mode. It is super easy to use and real clean. You just need to make sure to open up your camera in a calm room so wind is not causing more problem when you raise the mirror up.

I had just purchased a camera - not very old - and there was dust on the sensor. I was so relieved to see this product. I watched some YouTube videos and ordered two packages so I could clean another camera as well. It did a wonderful job. One thing I learned is that we're to turn our cameras off when changing lenses - it has something to do with magnetism that draws the dust particles to the sensor...So I really learned two things. I am very, very, very, happy with this product.

I have 2 DSLR cameras DX frame size. Both are used for indoor studio type shot but mostly landscape and outdoor wildlife. In FL that means high humidity, and blowing sand or dust. Lots of lens changes expose camera interior and sensor more than usual. I got tired of trying to fix dust and sensor spots in post. After watching lots of Youtube videos on sensor cleaning, I overcame my fear of ruining the sensor and tried this product. One sensor was awful and required several cleanings to get it all, and it did. An exception, but left me with no wipes or fluid for second camera. It worked well. Not its fault I waited too long. I should have bought 2 or a larger supply. If you are faced with a really dirty sensor and dust filled camera interior, buy more, get a blower and an anti static dust brush. Spend more time cleaning and less fixing spots.

Noticed some prominent spots on photos after returning from a beach trip. I went on-line to Adorama and took advantage of the live chat to get some advice. I was advised to try this product and I'm glad I did. I've never cleaned my camera's sensor before and was anxious about doing so as I didn't want to damage anything. The cleaning was a success and validated with some photo tests.

Depending on how dirty the sensor is, two swabs may be required to clean it. That's the maximum number of swabs I've used for a single cleaning.
