Portable Multi-use Magnifier

Sensor dust, mirror dust, negative dust nothing can escape this handy portable lighted magnifier. As an alternative photo printer as well as photographer this is a great tool in dusting negatives in the darkroom and use in viewing selected areas of copper photogravure plates during the etching process. Not sure why I did not purchase one sooner.

It works

It works but not very bright and not enough magnification. Price is somewhat high when I got it.

Fast and easy cleaning

My sensors are cleaner than ever. Real time viewing of every single speck on my sensors. No more ping pong...testing, cleaning, testing, cleaning... So easy to use alongside the artic butterfly and swabs with sensor clean. Only Caveat...no way it should cost this much.

Quality glass/lighting. Build Ok.

I did a video review of the mini Quasar here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHYicSG1b_Y Overall, quality optics and lighting in a very utilitarian design that allows cleaning and viewing at the same time. Construction is sufficient (nice rubber coating) with the exception of the battery cover, which bulges at the corners due to the design (see video).

VisibleDust 7x mini Quasar is equipped with 4 SUPER bright LED lights positioned at angles to identify the smallest object on the sensor surface( usually impossible to be seen otherwise). Regular LED light when shinned at the sensor penetrates different layers of filters to produce useless checkered shape visual images of various filter depth without focusing on sensor surface itself. By using Quasar Sensor Loupe inspection devices from visibledust one can eliminate these problems.

Using inspection devices from visibledust will reduce the damage to sensor by excessive cleaning hence, saving the cost associated with sensor cleaning. The mini Qusar requires two (2) CR2032 lithium batteries included. The mini Quasar comes with a soft coated foam black box to protect the device.
