Quality Exceeded Expectations

This card definitely exceeded my expectations. My Creative X-FI Titanium card had failed and was no longer available so I expected this card to be a significant downgrade but once I got it installed and setup I was more than pleasantly surprised. I mainly use my PC for studio live music recording and this little baby was more than up to the task. I love it.

No sound

Sales told me the computer I ordered for more than $1000 would have 5.1 sound capability, but it did not. So Dell graciously sold me this sound card for more than I could have purchased somewhere else. Installed the card and software as directed. No sound at all from the card. Money wasted both times.

Didn't fit in my machine

I bought this at Dell.com and chatted with one of your tech guys about it. He told me it would fit but it did not. The PCI express 1X was back too far for the card to fit. I'm still looking for a 5.1 card so if you have any idea of one that would fit I'd thank you.

Solved My Problem

The standard sound card in my Dell PC rendered a lisp in my wife's voice when recording. I first bought an external mixing board to adjust this out, but the USB microphone I had would not work with that board. So, I consulted with Dell as to what sound card to upgrade to. The Audigy Fx card with software controls completely solved the problem, though I had to consult with someone with more knowledge than I in how to adjust the mixing board to solve the "lisping" problem.
