When I need more zoom, I reach for "The Beast" of lenses: the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 telephoto lens. It produces vibrant color saturation, is fast focusing, and can be hand-held for short periods with minimal camera shake. It performs well in all lighting conditions, and the clarity of the telephoto end (600mm zoom) has to be seen to be believed.
