Concourse Series TAC700 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
$39.99In Stock
This microphone effortlessly captured the smooth warm tones of the voice while keeping the mids focused and the highs clean and transparent. While the recordings are well balanced, I feel the top end is slightly boosted around 10k which pleasantly added a crisp clarity without any distortion. For a mid-sized, mid-level, multi-patterned condenser mic, I’m quite impressed with the TAC700 and its performance in a post-production setting.

Concourse Series TAC300 Cardioid Condenser Microphone
$29.99In Stock
For a smaller-sized, entry-level condenser mic, this little warrior pulled its weight. The cardioid recordings were clean, crisp, and forward-focused. The mid frequencies control the focus while and the top end is crisp with a boost around the 7k range. Overall, I think this is a good daily mic for podcasts, basic voice recordings, and general talkback.

The earcups are very comfortable and they isolate quite well. The isolation brings the sound into your head and allows you to focus on exactly what you are listening to with minimal outside distractions. Overall, I enjoyed the listening experience across multiple forms of digital content. While the 300 and 500 series have their unique character and sound profiles, the 700 made a transition into an upgraded class of comfort, sound control, and quality.

These are very lightweight and require zero adjustments out of the box. The bass in the TAPH500 felt smooth and accurate while the mids prevailed in a complementary fashion to the crisp and clear top-end. Also, with the large ear cups, these offer some extra breathing room which I like because it not only adds depth to the sound, but it allows for a longer wearing time and listening time.

The unboxing of this product was standard with everything inside wrapped in dust-protective plastic and ready for use. Right out of the box, I noticed how lightweight and comfortable these headphones are. They don’t require any additional preamps to produce consistent quality sound. It doesn’t matter what I plug these into, they sound good. The listening experience is surprisingly smooth with clarity and depth.
