This is a great light, especially with the 3 modes, but options for IWB holsters is very limited. Most of the sellers listed in the holster guide pdf don't actually have options for the CMR 202. I may end up having to remove the light altogether if I'm going to concealed carry my Glock 19.

Great light as far as it’s construction and mounting. I don’t know what good low beams and strobe is for a light that you are trying to shoot with. This light only needs one setting, bright. The rest of the setting are nothing but a pain in the ass and counter productive.

I recently purchased a CMR-202 for a H&K P2000SK. This is one of the few lights that actually fits this firearm. Over all the fit is good and the light does not extent beyond the end of the barrel/frame. Of course I can't find a pre-made holster for this combo and will most likely have to resort to something custom made. Installation was easy and was done in less than 5 mins. The light was easy to operate and the light/level of illumination was acceptable. The only concern I have right now and the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is the fit/finish around the light switch. I can see the internal circuit board through a gap at the rear of the light and wonder if this gap will allow dirt/dust/moisture into the unit, leading to it malfunctioning/breakage. But the light is under warranty and hopefully this will not be an issue.

I bought this light for my Baretta 92A1 without reading reviews (which is not typical of me) and I am glad that I did. It was easy to instal and seems very sturdy. I am pleasantly surprised at how bright it is. It lights up my barn from about 30-40 yards away and I can still see my CT laser grip. I messed around with the activation switch a little bit and was happy with the ease of access for a right handed shooter. I was unaware that it had multiple settings until I started reading other reviews before posting my own. I think the mode switch program is genius. It really irritates me when I turn on my LED flashlight and it is strobing like crazy and I have to cycle through the remaining programs to get constant on high. With this product you set the mode you want and it is there every time you need to turn it on. I have not yet fired my weapon using the light, but will soon. I am also unaware of battery usage yet as I just received my light today, but I am confident CT has fixed any issues with this downfall as they had my laser grip before I even ordered it. Hats off to you Crimson Trace and the outstanding products you develop and sell.

First off, I love this light, the design is amazing and it is super easy to use. My issue with it is my battery will not last. I could understand that under a lot of use that I would have to change the battery often, but I will install a new battery, turn the light on and off to see it working, then put my gun in my safe. Two days later my battery is dead. I have even tested it by taking the light off of my gun and keeping it on the table to confirm that it is off. This has happened multiple times and I can't justify putting a new battery in every two days for this light.

Use it on my bedside gun and I love it. There are stronger lights out there, but this one is perfect for my application. Down side? On/ Off button is overly sensitive, it turns on with the lightest touch! Otherwise, a great light.

First off, it is an excellent light matched by the finest customer service you will ever find. As for holsters, "Google" Black Hills Gunleather and when contacting them direct phone calls or emails to Rudy Lozano. He hand crafts wet molded holsters for ANY FIREARM IN ANY CONFIGURATION YOU DESIRE.......and though each holster is hand crafted by EXTREMELY skilled leather crafters the price is AMAZINGLY affordable. When you get the holster you will have a break in period that when achieved you will own the finest holster one can find on this planet and the choices range from IWB with or without a retention strap or OWB with or without a retention strap and, if you have a little extra money you can even go with "exotic" hides. SUPERB ART is what Black Hills Gunleather produces. Trust me, I own 5 of Mr. Lozano's holsters and love EVERY ONE. Just get on their mailing list if you have some time and sales are usually held just before most holidays........and sometimes just out of the blue. Your email address will NEVER be sold but by all means at LEAST get on the companies email list or better yet, view the website, choose a holster, supply the requested info but, in the case of a weapon light it might be best to call and order but trust me, Mr. Lozano and Black Hills Gunleather WILL make a holster for any need. Tell them "Dennis from Independence, WI" referred you. I have referred several people to Black Hills Gunleather and EVERYONE is astounded at the holsters they receive.

I purchased the CMR-202 and I was able to fit it onto to my handgun pretty easily and securely.. overall it seems like a good, solid compact weapon light. There of course are the common gripes most people have about holster options that actually fit with the unit attached to the weapon, which of course is not Crimson Trace's fault (they're in the light business, not holster business) and/or the current lack of a quick detach mounting option. I took it to the range today to test it out to make sure it functioned as expected under the stress/power of firing my weapon. Unfortunately after 3 rounds the unit shut off by itself. I turned it back on and tried it again to make sure I wasn't inadvertently turning it off with my finger, with the same thing happening multiple times (typically after 3-5 rounds). The good news is that I called customer service and their service was outstanding! Without hesitation the said they'd be sending out a brand new CMR-202 unit along with a pre-paid envelope to return the old, defective unit. I'll update this review once I receive the new unit and let you know how it works out.

The light is extremely sturdy and the output is just right! Perfect spread on the beam vs my TLR-1 which is more focused. However I would have preferred it if they would change the screws used to allen style screws so it is sturdier vs the flat head screw they currently use. Maybe also experiment with the attachment method or offer a QD style mount perhaps.

I got yhis laser for my wife 's SR22 and she loves the way it has improved her sight picture and has increased her center mass hits from what she was doing prior to the addition of her laser. I can't wait to add one to my Springfield 45.

It would be ideal to have the light and either the red/green sight in a single unit. This is great rail unit,

The product itself works great. Easy installation, bright light, good controls. My complaint is I stick it in my pants to conceal it and the light comes on and wastes my batteries if it bumps against something. I'm considering taking it off my concealed weapon because what if someone sees my pants glowing and assume I have a weapon? A disabling switch would've been a good idea. Also, the cosmetic appearance looks a little childish with the designs on the front.

I purchased the CMR-202 for my Springfield sc9mm a few months back and have waited to leave a review until I had time to fully get a feel for it. Let me tell you this; the Railmaster is the first tactical light that I have ever purchased, and I would repeat that purchase in a heartbeat. It is very bright, ergonomic, easy to use, and like a previous reviewer stated "looks like it came factory with my gun". Keep the great products coming Crimson Trace!

Bought an SR9c this weekend and it came with this light. AWESOME!!! Cannot believe how bright and light it is. No noticeable weight difference. Insanely bright. It actually looks like it is part of the gun and not an add on. If you are looking for a light, buy this. You won't regret it.

I bought a ruger for self defence/protection and it came with this light installed on the rail. I took it off so I could use the gun at the range and use it as a fast flashlight at night for right now. But it gets the job done. put it back on and it works great.

My first thirty rounds shot from a Beretta Px4 .40 compact, shook loose one of the front battery screws. I'll re-tighten it. Someone suggested Crimson Trace has this problem and to use superglue. That would make it difficult to change the battery. My biggest problem is cycling through the different light choices. It is not intuittive and the steady on needs to be tapped three times before it comes on, as opposed to the flashing light which only needs one tap. I rated it 3 stars because I had high expectations of Crimson Trace. I have a CMR- 203 laser for my CZ 07 Duty, and it works like a charm.

i love this light but have a few gripes about the availability of holster options and the lack of a quick release feature. The light works very well It is extremely bright, lighweightt, and has great ergonomics and looks on my ruger sr9c. However it has been nearly impossible to find any other holster options other than a owb universal cordura model. Although not ideal, I wouldn't mind installing/uninstalling each night /morning to fit another holster if it featured a quick realease. It is easy to install out of the box, but inconvenient to perform daily. I've found it to be nn excellent product with limited application.

Mounting of both lights is quick and simple ,blackhawk maybe a little easier. The crimson trace light focus and brghtness is tighter . The weight of crimson trace is less and switch is better placed for actvation onehanded. A holster to fit crimson trace CMR-202 would make this light the top dog in this field.

I am a firm believer in Crimson Trace products. I own 5 rear activation lasers for my Glocks, one Laserguard for my Kel-Tec P32 first gen, two Laserguards for Glocks and two Lightguards for Glocks. Yup I own a lot of Glocks! These products are outstanding and I am and author and instructor of self defense of all types. I purchased the Rail Master to be installed on yet another Glock. It fits fine and the tactical use of the strobe effect is awesome. I ordered a kydex Viridian belt holster for use with their X5L laser. This holster fits perfect with the Rail Master installed. There is no looseness and fit like it was made specifically for a Glock 17/19 with a Rail Master. I will probably order additional Rail Masters for my tactical rifles and shotguns. It is that good!

The CMR-202 comes with four different rail adaptors, to fit most any railed weapon. Activation is very easy, with ambidextrous switches to activate the light. The CMR-202 can run in three modes; constant “ON”, strobe, or pulsed; staying on only when the switch is pressed inward. On a handgun, the switch is positioned to fall right under the trigger finger as the weapon is drawn from its holster, providing an almost instant activation if needed. The CMR-202 is easy to install, and comes with battery, which reportedly has a life of about four hours run time. All that is needed to install is a screw driver. I tried the Rail Master light on three different handguns, all with varying rail designs, and also on a Picatinny-railed hand guard on an AR-15. On every weapon tried, it fit well and worked perfectly. One great benefit, and it would have been a deal-breaker for me, is that the light works as designed without interfering with a Crimson Trace Lasergrip. All of my fighting handguns wear Lasergrips, and adding the bright white light does not hinder the use of the CT Lasergrip at all. The only consideration when using the CMR-202 is that the holster will need to be designed to accommodate a light. Other than that, it is unobtrusive, and the weight is negligible.
