I recently purchased a CMR-204 Railmaster Pro, and it broke on my first day firing with it. Roughly 7ish rounds in, the attachment fell off. When inspecting it, this occurred because one of the plastic brackets - that attaches to the rails that hold the device in place - had snapped in half. I've been trying to contact support for 2 months and haven't received a single reply. Friend who bought one had the exact same thing happen to him. Somehow, he actually got a replacement bracket from CT, only to have that one snap as well. Save yourself time/money/frustration, do business with someone who provides something that works and actually supports their products

I purchased Green Laser Sight grips for my Airweight. I had some problems with it, I expressed my concerns to the Customer Service and CT was on it immediately. They sent me a new pair right out and those work great. You might pay alittle more for CT products, but it is great having pros address the issues and standing behind their product. THANKS CT.

The green laser is awesome! But once the laser is on, there is no cutting it of. No matter how much you push the button! Every once in a while I will get it out of my safe just to see if it magically fixed it self and it takes a minute of messing with but it will finally cut on for a few milliseconds and after removing the battery and putting it back in, it will finally cut on for good, but like I said, it will not cut off unless you remove the battery. I have emailed them twice and I have not gotten any response. It’s just a huge let down coming from a brand that I alway thought were the bees knees when it came to lasers!

On-off tabs don't work 100% reliably and when it does work sometimes the unit won't shut off and you have to take the battery out to cut it off !! There must be and easy fix to this problem because the unit is rather pricey for the lack of quality !!!!

I received the Rail Master Pro G on Jan., 6, 20 and am completely satisfied with it's performance. The only problem came with installation. I am not used to applying so much force to small parts when installing the #2 insert into the cavity of the light unit.

I installed this light and laser on my suppressed on a Ruger SR 22 no problems. The paddle switch is the ticket, Buttons are not as easy to find. kind of a lot money, but it works for all of my needs.

There are a lot of options out there at a lower price, but you're probably going to end up spending as much when they break and need constant replacing. Holds it's zero consistently and stays in place until you need to strip your platform for cleaning.

The Glock 26 does not have a rail. But they fixed me up with The ProGuard green grip activated laser and light. Works great. At seven yards is my main concern! I put bull eye rounds with 3 10 round mags! Loaded a 33 round mag. and put all in the red, using Federal HST 147 grain FMJ hollow points! I love CT, They are the best. The green laser is so easier to see over the red and I have both. Also I own other brands that I won't mention here! But they don't even come close to the CT laser and light.

I've purchased 4 of the CMR-204 Rail Master Pros, and overall it's a well made reliable and durable laser/light system. Plus it's effortless to use tap one of the ambidextrous paddles, and it's on, tap again, and it's off. Hold both paddles momentarily, and it will cycle through the various laser/light settings. The battery does really well plus Crimson Trace has a free battery program. The overall installation is super easy and installs in a couple of minutes. As far as the laser settings I've had zero problems in setting the windage and elevation. Plus once the laser is zeroed, it retains the settings even after heavy use. Some other manufacturers tend to lose their parameters and have to be frequently zeroed.

I have been an owner/fan of Crimson Trace for some time now already. Had two separate occasions when I put the toque down on separate CT Lasers. No questions asked warranty, all I had to do was ask and on one occasion the new complete laser arrived before I shipped the one I broke back at their expence. On the second occasion, one two minute phone call and the replacement part plus an extra battery arrived before the end of the week. Don't blame CT, it was definitely on me for the broken parts. I am so used to having to torque down equipment at work or on autos, I just over did it. BTW, I have over ten CT products now and only did that to two of them. Register your CT Light or Laser on Crimson Trace's website and you get free batteries for life. I send an email once a year with all of my CT products listed and I get a big bag full of batteries in a couple of weeks. After all, what good is a Laser or Light if the battery is dead? CT get this! As for this particular Laser & Light. if you are only going to be using the laser for self defense, save yourself some money and get the cheaper red laser. The reason I have a couple of green lasers is because I have my own shooting range and like to practice shooting my pistols at longer ranges than would be reasonably considered self defense. I mean you can use the green for self defense, but the red will do just as good, The green laser on this sight is awesome. Measure the distance from the center of your barrel to the laser point of aim on your pistol. Probably around 3/4" of an inch. At the range, I set mine at 50 yards, but whatever you prefer. Put a mark 3/4" of an inch, or whatever your measurement came to, below bullseye. Sight the pistol's sights in on bulls eye. Then while shooting bullseye with the pistol's sights, set the laser in at the point you marked. Be sure to remember your laser's offset. Then at night or whenever you are sighting only with the laser. Aim your offset, mine is 3/4" of an inch, below bullseye or in a self defense situation put the laser your offset, 3/4" of an inch for me, below where you prefer the bullet to impact. Want to hit the thug between the eyes? At my offset I would aim the laser just below the bridge of the nose. Now you should get this. It is called parallel sight in. Remember, the laser will blast a beam as far as its power will allow in a straight line. Your pistol along with ballistics; bullet type, primer and powder, weather, wind, slope and etc...will be be affected by the previously mentioned plus gravity. All of these will cause your bullet to travel on an arc. So if you have set your pistol to shoot bullseye at 15 feet and set for laser your offset below bullseye. You can expect your laser to shoot bullseye every time you aim it your offset below bullseye at 15 feet and, depending on your pistol caliper, will stay close for another plus or minus 10 feet. Now to the light. This light will not blind an attacker, nor does it strobe. But it does light up a wide clear area in front of your pistol enough for you hit what you have to hit while also being tactically aware of other threats that mat be on either side. So I give it 5 stars because of the Crimson Trace Brand and It performs exactly the way I expected it to. I hope this helps.

I use this combo on my work gun and really love the power of the laser on it. The light is bright enough to light up the range and I can still see the laser easily. No problems with it except finding a holster for it. It has lost its zero once in my 2 weeks of wearing it for and I had to re-zero. The mounting screws need to be changed since they are flathead and very difficult to find the slot unless you use a light. I wish there was a better way to adjust the laser since its annoying to find the tiny adjustment tool that comes with it. Still the best I have seen on a gun.

I've had it for a few months, invested a lot in holsters for it too. Although I do enjoy the laser, and the light is OK for the most part (would rather have 200 lumens). Anyways, I was shooting it this evening, and on the 4th shot the mounting bracket broke sending my railmaster pro down range. I had to grab a broom to sweep it back to me because it was a public range. For $380 I'd expect a lot more. If I hadn't already invested so much into the damn thing I'd just go buy a Surefire x300. Unfortunately I'm in about $250 extra in custom holsters as well. Fix your mount for crying out loud!

Overall, this laser is not bad, but for nearly $400, please do not purchase it. One major flaw it has is the activation switch, even though it is ambidextrous, it is not a click switch button, you literally have to mash the button until the laser turns on since there is no positive activation feedback. After about 30 clicks, the switch does not fully return outward. Second, the LED light is nice but would only use for a small or medium size room. The illumination is just not very bright. Again, brillian concept, but this in not worth $400, not even $300, maybe $200-250 I would just buy the a standalone green laser and ditch the light.

Great laser and light very easy to attach and zero in. Can t miss with it. Shooting faster, and more accurate. Can see the green even in daylight.

Regarding the bad review here, I think these gentlemen lack mechanical skills because the tiny nuts and bolts are very strong and have adequate holding ability, if not over tightened, which can only be achieved with an inappropriately large screwdriver with lots of torque. The inserts and the instructions are a bit confusing, but let me say this: It fits and secures to my cheap Highpoint 9mm With my home made rail! I had to cut another slot in the rail is all. so how hard can it be? It's true that the inserts do not fit the way they described because the same lug (slotted or unslotted is the choice of lugs on each insert) in doesn't always fit in the sight or the other way around. I beleive one or the other of each insert fits in the sight snugly, but none actually "snap in" as instructed. So somebody did indeed wrote poor instructions. plus they don't say which way the other lug goes on the sight, forward or backward! So I got the shortest one whcih weas too tall and honed it to rest snugly underneath my rail in the very front, facing forward in the sight. plus this sight is very easy to sight in using the tool supplied. But mainly I'm not happy with the stupid "hold three seconds" to cycle through the modes crap. what this means is during a defensive situation, you only have the mode you previously chose unless you want to wait 3 seconds and cycle through the one you want while your life is in danger. Clearly this programmed mode is garbage and ill thought out. It should be, tap once for each mode, PERIOD. I put mine in laser only since I'm not fond of marking my position with a light to shoot at.and I don't think the strobe will fool anyone either.

Bought this for SAR 17H that I purchased a bi-pod fore grip for. I placed it before the bi-pod and when screwing in the two tiny flat head screws it snapped. Great Idea, I LOVE Crimson I own a piece on all of my fire arms. But this needs improving. Make the mounts recessed snapped in to the housing on a tighter and thicker basis. Then it would be good. SUPER GLUED THE MOUNT. BLACK MARKER THE DRIED GLUE LOOK AND IT SIGHTED IT IN. IT WILL WORK UNTIL I WRITE THEM AND GET THEM TO SEND ME ANOTHER. NEXT TIME ILL JUST

Crimson Trace CMR-204 Rail Master® Pro™ Universal Green Laser Sight & Tactical Light is the 3rd Crimson Trace GREEN laser sights that I bought. The other two are: LG 453 LaserGuard® 633nm, and CMR-203 Rail Master™ Universal Green Laser Sight. For this CMR-204 Rail Master® Pro™ Universal Green Laser Sight & Tactical Light, I had no problem attached on my S&W M&P .40 Full size. Shot more than 2000 rounds over a year (since 04/23/2014) with it, and just had to change battery once, so far it is still in good working condition, it still be able to help me to PUT the round on the target. The only thing that I am not 100% happy is its ON/OFF switch. It should be easier for changing mode instead of going though all 4 modes: Laser/Light Constant On, Laser Constant On, Light Constant On, and Laser w/Light Dazzler, to clear the last mode and reset a new one that NEEDED. In Home Defend situation, we DO NOT have time for that.

I received my Crimson Trace Rail Master Pro, and I am just blown away. The only problem I had was deciding on what weapon to install it on. I guess I will have to buy some more in the future. But let me tell you this, the Rail Master Pro is just simply OUTSTANDING. I really don't know how else to say something about this product, I mean I am in awe when it comes to the Rail Master Pro. It is an experience you can only feel when you receive your Rail Master Pro in the mail, and then install and operate. Thank you Crimson Trace for this work of art.

Got the Railmaster Pro Green less then 30 days ago. Already right side switch broke leaving the left side nonfunctional. To make it better this is my second day now trying to contact someone at CT. For a fraction of the price I could have taped a flashlight and a laser pointer from Walmart to my pistol. Much more reliable I am guessing. I will not trust the security of my family to the pos...

Right out of the box I had hesitation while looking at the mounting hardware. I used the appropriate mounting block, no problems there. As soon as I started tightening it I was thinking in my mind no way this would hold a zero, kept tightening to where it finally felt some what solid and set the pistol down. I came back about 10 minutes later to put everything away, picked up the pistol and the laser fell off on the floor in two pieces. The mounting clamp broke just from being tightened. I would not want my life to depend on this item especially with the hard to operate switches. If you have to think about getting the light to shut off you are at a severe disadvantage. Needs a momentary on/off switch and a real solid mount to even be considered as a real tool. It is just a mall ninja novelty at this point.

I have had my CMR-204 for nearly a year now. Due to the intense laser and bright light, there is a large drain on the CR2 Battery. I thought that my unit was having problems when it started blinking, then would not shut off, & had to remove the battery to shut the unit off. This has happened a number of times now. But happens when the battery is LOW. Put in a fresh battery and this should fix the problem. If not call tech support.

Had this thing for three days. Couldn't find an insert that worked well on my compact pistol which is a Steyr S40A1 I know its a less common pistol but the inserts are all roughly the same size and don't change the actual location of the unit on any rail. The plastic clamp design seems really bad and I had to tighten it so much I thought it would break just so it would hold zero. I had this in a soft holster because as we all know there aren't any other options yet. Something happened to the thing so now it wont shut off and I had to pull the battery. The switches are fully operational but I cant shut it off or change modes now. A buddy of mine had a holster made for him and during the process his got damaged and wont shut off as well. If this is a common problem I don't want a replacement. Tactical lights and lasers shouldn't be so easy to damage.

I was disappointed to find out that none of the inserts would work for the G2. I'm surprised that it isn't one of the models supported. Their claim of a "Universal" fit is misleading. I am hoping that they add it down the road. The CMR204 is always out stock. Leads me to believe that they have a replacement in the works. It probably won't fit either.

I also purchased the ct railmaster pro cmr 204 in green and had the same problem but mine was from recoil while shooting it broke right off my gun which was a Smith & Wesson M&P compact 40. I thought it didn't fit properly from day one I was always tightening because it seemed loose. I contacted CT and told them I had only owned it for a couple weeks and wanted a refund for this POS product but was informed if I had bought it from them directly they would have replaced it no questions asked but because I purchased it from my local gun shop for wait for it $349 they wouldn't take it back. Luckily for me my gun shop is a legitate place and they were willing to take it back which I informed them I didn't want the money back because as we all know there's always another gun we want to buy so I replaced it with a m&p shield 4 and a small amount of cash. I will never by another CT product again Thanks to Tombstone Trading in Brookfield Ma for being a reputable gun shop. Rich

I bought this Green Laser & Tactical light, and could not be happier ! I have it on my Springfield XDm, 9mm. Have not fired it on the pistol, but will just to check everything out...I'm sure it will be just sine. I own 5 other CTC Laser, and they all do what they are designed to do . They also send me FREE batteries when you join there CLUB. I am looking for a houster for it . If some one knows of one , I sure would like that info. I am very pleased with everything I have bought from CTC. Oh yes, I broke the base that holds the Laser to the rail, over tightened it, or it was not a good one. They send me another one at NO CHARGE, you just can't beet this Company.... I will always be a CTC custemer ...

The rail master pro is the perfect marriage of laser/light platform for my glock. I use it in various capacities such as teaching students proper trigger control and laser/light discipline during low/no visibility situations. I enjoy the small compact nature of the platform and it works every time.

I received the Rail Master Pro G on Jan., 6, 20 and am completely satisfied with it's performance. The only problem came with installation. I am not used to applying so much force to small parts when installing the #2 insert into the cavity of the light unit.
