I’m older, and have arthritis. The location of the switch seems perfect, but for me it isn’t. There should be a way to turn on the laser, and have it remain on, without continued pressure on the switch. Other than that, it was easy to install and accurate.

I'm a longtime owner of Ruger revolvers, having bought my first GP 100 back in 1993 and my first SP 101 back on Sept 15,2001 when I was getting my first issue concealed carry permit in Kentucky. It wasn't until 2012 that I ordered my current laser grips LG 303 for a different SP 101 which I am carrying on my second issue of my Tennessee carry permit and I have had no problems with the unit. During all my training classes,I was asked to turn off the laser because the instructors felt that it gave me an unfair advantage over the other students in the class. However,a minor problem has cropped up in the past 6 months in that the activation of the laser is intermittent. Sometimes when I hold the revolver, the laser activates and sometimes it doesn't. I have brushed out the area of the button with a dry toothbrush which has reduced the problem some but I wonder if the contacts in the button have worn from use and/or age that may require me to either send the grips back for reconditioning or even buying a new set of grips. Either option is open. I recommend laser grips for any handgun used in self defense.

This Crimson Trace Lasergrip fits my Ruger SP101 like glove. The accuracy of this lasergrip without any adjustments was dead accurate. The delivery was right on time from Adorama and their price for this lasergrip was the lowest price I could find for it on the internet. Keep up the good work Adorama, you well deserve this 5 star rating!

Easy install. Good tight fit. Easy to activate. Easy to calibrate. Now I just need to practice with my Ruger SP101

I bought a Ruger SP-101 when they first came out. The front sight is tiny, but I had young eyes, then. As I got older, that front sight got fuzzier, so I bought a set of CT LG-303 grips. Installation was easy, with no gaps at all. The front strap is slightly longer than the backstrap, so it fits my big hand better than the factory grips (which left most of my little finger hanging). Front activation is not difficult, only requiring a slight tensing of the middle finger. I still use the front sight (with glasses-front sight clear, target fuzzy) but, without glasses, that little red dot tightened my groups noticeably. CT will be my go-to laser choice from now on.

Have the LG303 model on two SP-101 2-1/4" BBL snubbys. Fit is perfect (Ruger SN listing indicates mine were mfd 2008 and 2010). Chose the LG303 version because it has a master on/off switch. The grips have not shifted under heavy recoil with .357+P 158gr. You do have to keep an eye on cleaning the lens area as propellant residue will accumulate on the lens and the beam will be scattered somewhat. I have CT laser grips on several pistols and have used the CT laser grips for years without any problems. Have no experience with the CT the green laser versions.

First, just the grip itself even without the laser is a big improvement over the hard plastic grips that come stock: gummier rubber, better recoil control, and much more satisfactory for my long-fingered hands. But on top of that comes the laser too. I don't want to rely on a laser pointer to do my aiming for me, but in low-light conditions such as home defense, it's a great stabilizer. Would be very intimidating for a home invader too.

I have used this laser on my SP101 for almost two years. I am able to put .357 mag rounds , 5 of them , in a 3"-4" group, using this Lasergrip, @ 5-7 yes and do it in about 6 seconds. Probably could do it faster wit .38 spl+ P .... But the range won't let us shoot faster than 1 shot per second.

For those of you who never bother to read, just read this: They're perfect. They fit perfectly on my new (2013) SP-101 .357 4" barrel. They are calibrated perfectly well from the factory. For those of you who read a little more: These are the more expensive rubber over-lay grips. I can't speak to the (less-expensive) LG-111 because I didn't buy them, never tried them, and didn't want them. The less-expensive model is smaller, and, therefore, possibly better suited for concealed carry, and a lot harder on your hands for larger-powered rounds. This review is NOT about the LG-111. For those of you who really DO read: Crimson Trace had both of these grips (LG-111 and LG-303) listed as fitting SP-101s made ONLY before 2011. After many calls and emails to both Ruger and CT, it seems that CT was not 100% satisfied with the fitment on post-2010 SP-101s. The individual responsible for this assessment must have been the most anally-retentive person on the planet! These grips fit (in my estimation) even better than the factory or Hogue grips - both of which fit VERY well - and if not better, certainly equally well. There are NO gaps, and not the slightest bit of play in the grip. If you, like I was, are the slightest bit skeptical, based on the fitment warning, you can confidently forget it, and buy these without hesitation.

I wanted to get a new grip for my SP101 that would fit my big hand better than the stock grip but not affect the concealability, and I also wanted to improve the stock sights for low light conditions. I decided to use the crimson trace laser grip LG303 to do both of these at one time and I am very happy with the results. This grip is just slightly longer than the stock grip on the front side so I can get all of my fingers on it, but it is a little shorter on the back side. And it is also a little more thick where the first two fingers contact it so it fits in my hand better. With the stock grip I was having trouble keeping the sights on the target when I was pulling the trigger but now my sights are stable on the target and I am shooting in much tighter groups. The laser is working well and I have not had any issues with the placement of the switch. The laser always comes on as expected when I hold the grip. I have a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake IWB holster and the part of the grip that directly holds the laser does rest against the holster but it does not affect the functionality. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought a SP-101 in 327 Federal and this is a GREAT grip. It makes me feel very secure when I carry the SP-101. It has a very natural feel and points well.

CT says under Fit Notes that this grip does not fit latter revolvers manufactured after 2010, But I purchased a New SP 101, Catalog number KSP-242-8, Model 05765, a .22 LR Cal.in November 2012 and it fit fine. Ruger only started making this version in 2011 and they say they have not made any grip frame modifications to the SP 101 since it came out. So I am not sure where this fit problem is coming from. All I know is it fits my gun fine and works as good as any of my five other CT grips (which of course is the best laser grip on the market). Actually they are better than that. They are the best pistol laser of any kind I have found yet.

I thought that I just needed reading glasses but it turned out I needed bifocals. After I got my glasses I went to the range to shoot my Ruger SP101 357 Mag that I carry for self defense. What I found out is that in drawing from a holster I couldn't get a clear sight picture quickly wearing Bifocal glasses. It scared the hell out of me, I have been shooting for 25 plus years and thought that I would be in real trouble in a self defense situation. I went and ordered a set of LG-303 Laser grips, they installed in a few minutes with just one screw, then off to the range. They shot right on without any adjustments. These grips could save mine or someone in my families life just by being able to get a fast clear sight on a bad guy. To say the least I will be buying Crimson Trace grips for all my handguns as soon as I can afford them. Scott

As soon as Crimson Trace came out with a lasergrip for the SP101 I had to have one, it's great for a small gun like this to help my wife feel comfortable using it as a home defense gun.

The Crimson Trace LG-303 is an enhanced laser sight offering for Ruger SP101 revolvers. The LG-303 features a comfortable and ergonomic overmold material for a better positive-firing grip on the weapon. With a front activated switch, the Lasergrips is engaged automatically, or as we say, instinctively, as you hold the revolver naturally. The LG-303 installs in seconds and is fully adjustable for windage and elevation.
