The little tiny sights on an LCP, make it unshootable, I got the gun for free from a friend that hated it. At 30 feet he could not hit the paper. I put on a CTC LG-431 and shot it---shot 50 bullets in a 4 inch group. Not only will a laser sight work it will improve your shooting by dry firing--you know where the sight are when the trigger breaks. My friend did not believe the target--I had to reshoot the 50 round group to prove it--He would like it back, now that he sot it. Crimson Trace made a very good working pistol-BETTER in every way.

Once installed on the gun, this laser guide (LG-431 on the Ruger .380 LCP) isn't as rigid or fixed as it should be for consistent accuracy due to the flexibility of its plastic housing. In the process of squeezing the grip as I shoot, I discovered that the pressure of the index finger against the laser's activation button tends to "roll" the red dot off center of target both left and right depending on the amount of finger squeeze pressure used. Up real close to target this doesn't have a huge impact, but the further from target the shot is taken, the more OFF the shot will be from the placement of the laser's red dot. This can't be good if someone is shooting back at you.

Exactly as expected, quick delivery, simple to install, works perfectly, what else could you ask for. I fit this on my LCP with a hogue grip and the fit is solid and fits snuggly into the hogue grip like it was part of the gun. Don't hesitate to pick up one of these for your LCP, the sights on the gun are some of the worst and never know how you will need to use it for self defense situation.

I couldn't believe when I snapped the unit on and checked if I needed to adjust it was right on the money. I upgraded from the front activation to the more natural trigger guard position and love it. The free batteries for life is a great plus. Keep up the good work.

I HAVE HAD THE LG-431 FOR OVER 4 YEARS ON MY RUGER LCP. I HAVE BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR 37 YEARS AND THIS IS THE WEAPON I CARRY (95% OF THE TIME IN A POCKET HOLSTER) WHEN I AM NOT WORKING. IT HAS WITHSTOOD QUALIFICATION AND PRACTICE SHOOTING WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. ALWAYS GOOD TO REMEMBER, A LASER INSTALLED ON A FIREARM MAKES A GREAT DETERRENT TO AN AGRESSOR BY RAKING IT ACROSS THEIR EYES OR PLACING THE DOT ON "CERTAIN BODY PARTS". I HAVE CARRIED LASERS ON MY DUTY WEAPONS SINCE 2004 AND FOUND THEM EXTREMELY INTIMIDATING AND ACCURATE. GREAT PRODUCT THAT I HIGHLY REDCOMENDD.

No problems with LG431 until last week. Went online to CT web site and warranty statements about how good and fast they respond made me feel good. But turned out to be BS. Emailed the problem Sat. and had not received a reply by Thur. afternoon. Called number the lady that took my call obviously was just an answering service had to explain that laser wouldn't turn off (pressure pad ineffectual) over and over. Not necessarily her fault as every third word or so was garbled. But she said she could hear me fine. She took my number for someone to call it's now Sun. and still no call. In the meantime pressure pad has stared to work but I'm wondering about the reliability. Could be life threatening if it was to stay on in dark during during certain situations.

Small weapons (LCP) and large hands don't always mix well. My accuracy improved greatly after I installed a LG-431. It takes the guesswork of a potentially bad situation. I will never be without it again!

The laserguard is the perfect solution to the tiny sites on a Ruger LCP. The long heavy trigger make vital hits with the tiny sites difficult to impossible past 15 yards. The laser allows precise hits at 0-10 yards and vital hits are assured out to 15 yards. With practice one may even get out to 25 yards. I've put several 100 rounds through my LCP and the laser has remained zeroed.

I've had this LG-431 on the LCP for most of 2013 and maybe 300 range rounds. It has stayed firmly in place and kept zero from first installation and sight-in. I really like having this unit on the LCP since the small size / long trigger pull make keeping multiple shots on target at defensive ranges a serious challenge, especially in low light when the hard sights disappear. I ordered this with the CTC pocket holster which has held up well in use as my "quick grab" carry. The pressure switch adds a bump to the small grip but you get used to it and activates at reasonable grip pressure. Overall, the LCP benefits greatly from this LG-431 to improve defensive usability and I could not imagine not having it.

I recently bought an LCP with the Crimson Trace pre-installed. I LOVE this combo! I have had a S & W 469 since 1987, and while it is accurate (without laser sights) and dependable it is just too bulky to carry (concealed) on a regular basis (business suits during the week, shorts on weekends, during summer) With this combo problem solved! With my Uncle George's wallet holster and Hogue LCP Handall hybrid grip, this gun never leaves my pocket (except to go to the range). I have put around 400 to 500 rounds through it and, since adjusting for the heavy trigger pull, I am able to consistently shoot 2 to 4 inch groups (single versus rapid fire) at 15 yards thanks to the Crimson Trace. (by the way, I highly recommend the Hogue grip! It made a BIG difference in my comfort level in shooting at the range. No more pain in the web between thumb and forefinger, although slightly heavier grip must be used to assure laser activation) All in all, I'd say if you own the LCP you should get the Crimson Trace (and Hogue grip) (although I'm still on the fence about the Uncle George's holster; it is great at concealment, but seems tight for quick access, despite fitting it using a blow dryer, per the instructions.)

I recently put this laser on my Ruger LCP 380 several months ago. The first one I purchased lasted for 2 shots. I called CT and the told me they thought I had a battery issue and sent me a new battery. Got the battery in a week later and installed it and this time it failed after 3 shots. I called CT again and they sent me a new unit no questions asked. I installed it and after sighting in its dead on!!! I will never own another carry gun with out one. I installed the CT laser grip on my wife's Ruger LCR 357 and she is spot on target now with every shot. Great products and service from Crimson Trace!!!

Gives instant targeting infomation to shooter and allows assailant to reconsider his decision to continue. Only one drawback sight looses zero durring prolong practice do to mounting screws loosing,tighting screws brings sight back to zero, however this should not a problem in a defensive sitution.

The CT laserguard was part of the package when I bought my LCP. There was another laser brand available on the LCP but its activation method was not acceptable. I have a CT laser grip on my S & W M & P 40 and it convinced me that Crimson Trace was the way to go on my LCP. Great dependable product.

I bought my 380 for concealed carry and carry every day. The activation switch on the C.T. is the best I've used on the 380. You take a firm grip on the gun and its on. A laser was a necessity for me on this little 380 due to its short barrel and very small sights. The best improvement you can add to this little gun is a laser and C.T. makes the best.

I had done a fair bit of research and what I liked about this laser is the fact that all you have to do put your hand on the grip and it activates. I saw other laser's for this pistol but they had to be turned on by a switch which when you are in a life and death situation can delay puting your weapon into play and saving your life. When I put it on my LCP it was a little tricky because the parts are so well engineered that they all fit perfectly and have to put together just right, but it still only takes about 2 minutes at most to install. If you buy this you will not be disappointed. I intend buy Crimson Trace products for all my pistols.

The LG-431 is a perfect mate to the Ruger LCP. I particularly like the position of the activation button at the front of the grip. Activation is automatic with proper hand/finger placement on the grip. I think this is critical in a tactical situation...no second thought needed. I have a different type of laser (not Crimson Trace) on my XD9 that requires moving a finger to the activation button and pressing it just right. I'm not as confident that I will turn that one on under pressure. The LG-431 is also brighter. Mine is about 1-1/2 years old and the batteries need replacing. I just registered for "FREE Batteries for Life" and my first replacement is on the way. Great program!!

I bought my LCP with this laser already installed. I knew it would be very difficult with this weapon to acquire a quick, accurate sight picture with it's non existant sights. With the Crimson Trace laser that is all changed; it is quick, accurate, and reliable. A Crimson Trace Laser Sight is a great accessary for any weapon; but with the Ruger LCP it is a must have. Get One!

I have this laser on my LCP and it transforms it into a quick reliable weapon. I do not have to hunt for the sights, if my red dot is on target it is a hit. Great job guys! My new Gen 4 Glock 19 will have the same laser as soon as it shows up at my door.. Merry Christmas..

Got mine just over two years ago and two sets of batteries so far for free and just ordered my 3rd set today. A year after it slipped out of my holster and fell right on the tip of the laser guard from my hip and still worked and accurate when I took it to the range the next day. I go through a set of batteries a year which is good being that you get one set a year for free for life. It is more expensive than some of the other models on the market but unlike the others it not only fits the pistol perfectly with out a snag but it makes the pistol look a little more beefy and is so accurate that I could hit a walnut rolling off the rooftop of a hen house. It would be nice however if it had a strobe feature and a way to chance the color to one of your liking.

I was one of the first to receive the LCP, had to send it back for a trigger or hammer issue, that's how early, and always thought Crimson Trace grips were all this thing needed from day one. I hesitated because of the price, but after receiving a Cabela's gift card for my birthday, decided to splurge on my little carry bud! It cost more than the gun did!!!!! I was extremely disappointed to find this distorted plastic attachment I wouldn't disgrace Bill Ruger's name by hanging this thing on his gun! I'm sure if I dropped the gun this thing would just shatter. It only hangs from the trigger guard. I've bought way better lasers, made from aluminum and with remote grip switches, for my AR's for under thirty dollars. That is more than what this is worth. I at least expected it to be metal, and fit to the pistol so it doesn't catch on your pants pocket very time you slip it in. If the price on this thing was fifteen dollars, I would buy several and have some spares. But this one is going straight back to Cabela's tomorrow!

This is my 4th CTC grip. I love 2 of them, hated one and this one is ok but not great. The pressure pad sits on the joint of my middle finger so there's not a whole lot of contact pressure there. So after firing the 1st shot I have to reposition the pistol in my hand to activate the laser. I have medium size hands and the gun is tiny. Not much you can do about it. I let another shooter use it with the same problems. also the wrap around design on the trigger gaurd bites the under side of your trigger finger when the gun recoils up you hand. I know its not a target gun but 2 mags thru it becomes painful. I never had this problem without the laser attached. also fast fallow up shots are not always posible when the laser won't stay on due to poor pressure switch location. On the possitive side, the 1st shot is much easier and precise to make. I just don't trust 1 shot out of a 2" .380. I would probably take it off the gun but the sights on the LCP are darn near useless.

I am a plainclothes law enforcement officer and I have had my LCP/Crimson Trace combo for over 2 years now. I carry it everyday, usually in an Uncle Mike's ankle holster or a DeSantis pocket holster. Since the LCP is my backup weapon, I needed something that I could deploy without delay of finding and activating an on-off switch or other means of turning it on. I considered the S&W Bodyguard .380, but the on-off laser activation was a deal breaker. I have fired over 500 rounds through the LCP and the laser has not shifted point of impact. Simply said, I trust my life to it. BTW, I also have Crimson Trace on my G27 and Sig P229, both of which are duty weapons. There is also a CT on my wife's S&W Chief's Special.

As a born skeptic, I pay close attention to reviewers' criticisms about products. Took a risk. Bought one. The rave reviews are right. This laser is BRIGHT. Dry firing with snap caps is making me a better shooter now that I can see the dot, instead of guessing about poor trigger technique and tiny sights on this small piece.

My daughter, age 16 shot my LCP for the first time with this laser at 25 yards. Every shot was on the 12" shoot-n-c target. The laser really shines bright on that red bullseye target. The best thing about these lasers is it comes on when you grip the gun, no buttons to push to turn it on. I have got to get some grips for my new SR1911 now.
