I recently bought one for my sr9c and it’s perfect. It went on easily, was well designed and of quality. In a few minutes, I had it sighted for 21’ and was shooting more consistently. I am an iron sight believer, but this will confirm my aim as I sighted it just ahead of the front iron sight. So, since shoot with both eyes open, both the front iron sight and the laser red dot show up together as one. In low or no light, it is great. In daylight closer than 30’, I can see the red dot. Further than that, I use my iron sight and the red dot appears there. Don’t try to find your target in daylight further than thirty feet w the laser....it will be hard to see. For me, though, it is perfect for EDC and will enable me to, when running away from a threat, put shots on target if I’m unable to use an ideal stance. The ‘batteries for life’ is a nice feature and the customer service was very good w my few questions. The only thing I’d suggest would be a master on-off switch. Other than that, this is a well fitted to the gun device that goes on when I draw......under stressful situations, it would be crucial. I also have to say that this grip design is far superior to the rail attached variety of laser in that it is far less likely to be bumped out of alignment as a rail mounted one can be. I’d prefer not to fool around turning on buttons. I even, in my gun range, aimed the laser at the target from 21’ from my hip and hit dead center. Nice job CT.

This is my second laser sight that i purchased from Crimson Trace. I only have one complaint. I like the green much much better than the red. My first laser sight was a green laser that I mounted on a M&P Body Guard. I loved the ability to see it very well in the daylight. When it came time to equip my Ruger SR-9C I was disappointed to learn that it only came in red. I purchased it anyway. I am happy with it. However i like the green laser so much better that if Crimson Trace ever offers it in green for the 9C, I will purchase. If you are contemplating purchasing a laser sight, please go and see both the red and green in person. The difference is astounding. The red is good. The green is astronomically better! The red is almost unusable a few feet out in daylight. I can see the green in bright daylight out about 50 yards. The difference is amazing. They both are the same accuracy, I have had no trouble with them holding the mark. Just wish I could get the SR-9C in green. LOL

The product works exactly as advertised. The only things I would change is a true on/off switch to not lose my picininy rail or at least an option where it is still usable.

I received this LG-449 as a Christmas Gift for my RUGER SR40C. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in my stocking - and upon opening it I learned that it comes with everything needed to install it. It took only a few minutes to install it and my first trip out to my range proved how natural it feels; the weight is negligible, causing no barrel drop! Add in the FREE Replacement Battery package - and its a bargain indeed. I have just one suggestion/recommendation - ship the unit with TWO batteries so a 'hot-swap' battery is always on hand. That small change would earn a fifth-star on my review.

I bought this Laserguard for my Ruger SR9C back in 2011 and it has worked flawlessly since. The design is very good, it looks like it was put on by Ruger themselves. Recently the laser has been a little dim. I called Crimson Trace and they are sending me some new batteries free of charge through the batteries for life program. Very friendly service. Here is to even more years of service!

I recently purchased a Ruger SR40c but was not very happy with rear sight, just did not focus with them very well, so I researched and found the LG -449. Ordered and installed. Installation was just minutes, used a laser bore sight to perfect at alignment and headed to the range, got a tight 5 shot group and was thrilled. This is a first rate sight, easy to align, and gave me a huge amount of confidence in my new pistol, the LG-449 looks like it was made on the gun. BIG, just gripping the gun turns it on, no buttons to fool with.

So at first I was very happy about the low profile and how it attached to the gun. But it does not stay zeroed out ever. You can get it right on and then just tap it with your finger and its off again. Not just by a little bit either. By the time it hits the target you're a few feet away from where you're aiming. So maybe I got a lemon because for the price I expected something good quality. I emailed them and I'm hoping to get a new one or something to resolve the issue

I own an SR9c as well as a Springfield XDM. Both have the Laserguard. These lasers hold Zero with no problem. I feel much more confident with these on my go to home defense weapons. I purchased the XDM from a reseller and believe I was given a deal on a defective unit. Crimson Trace support replaced the unit with no hassle! I'm buying a Ruger 9e and hope I can get a Laserguard for that as well. Great support on a great product! Buy one!

I had seen mixed reviews but was interested in getting a laser for my SR9c. Boy am I glad that I did! I got a great deal from Amazon. When it arrived, the installation instructions seemed too easy to be true. It didn't take much more than a minute. The screws are tiny, so is the allen wrench, but it went together easily. It looks like it part of the gun - flawless integration with the weapon. I haven't used it a lot, but it has dramatically improved my shooting accuracy. The activation is very natural with conventional grip of the gun. The free lifetime battery replacement is a great unexpected bonus.

the screws are very cheap. hadn't even shot my new ruger yet, was lining up the sights with the laser and could see the laser needed to be raised and windage adjusted. Windage adjusted fine but the elevation wouldn't move. then I could see the screw was split, looked on line and discovered countless similar accounts. for the cost of your laser beef up the screws for heavens sake.

I bought the LG-449 for my Ruger SR9C despite a few negative reviews. Boy were they wrong! Installation was a breeze! Its sleek design is virtually weightless, and you forget its on there until you raise it to fire and after a little squeeze, there it is... a bright beautiful lazer illuminating whatever you are looking at! I would recommend this product! Also there are some pretty good holsters out for this combo. Happy lasering!

Recoil of my firearm seemed to cause the laser to turn off and on at will. I will be replacing and i am, as of now, very disappointed with my first crimson trace product. Hopefully the next one will be something I can stake my life on

First of all, the installation took just a few seconds. The “advertised” sighted by the manufacturer was just dead on target and on my CWC I scored the maximum possible. I am using my SR9c with a wonderful VeresaCarry inside the waistband skeleton holster, and the combination is simply fantastic. Thank you Ruger, thank you Crimson trace!

I received the LG-449 for my new Ruger SR9C and easily attached it in a snap. The unit was very close to being on, but did need a small amount of adjusting. The next day I went out and played around firing my new toy and was impressed with the bright laser. A laser certainly shows how much you are moving around on the target! My shooting buddy was making fun of my small movements until I handed the gun to him! After shooting I walked in the house and notice the laser was not turning on now, it was completely dead. Now I am waiting to see how quickly I can get the Laserguard repaired/replaced. Certainly doesn't give one a warm and fuzzy feeling if these units just stop working for no reason. I will update this post when the problem is solved.

This has been great on my SR40c. Feels very natural in my hand and well made. I have to give credit to this company backing up their product. Mine came and I shot it a bit but laser would keep fading after about 2-3 shots. Called customer service and after waiting all of 5 seconds explained it to a REAL person - no questions asked and another set of batteries on the way with their apologies for the inconvenience. Great company!!

This Laser is awesome, the trigger gaurd activation switch, is perfectfor my use, no fumbeling around trying to turn on the laser with a oddly placed swich. battery life seams to be excelent, and the laser optics are great, witha fine point out to well past the useable gun range. i highly reccomend this Lser to anyone looking for a good one.

I like these LaserGuards very much; I have tused hem on the following: Hk 45C; Ruger SR9/SR9c/SR40 (they'll fit the full sized edition just fine though with something of a gap between the unit and the rail from the front registration tab back). I've been shooting going on 58 ys - my old man started teaching me when I was 7 - and 'LaserGuarded' pistols work well for me using a one handed shooting technique while holding a light in the off hand at an extended distance (it's moved around randomly while strobed - or set to strobe if the light allows). For a universal holster, for both the full sized and compact SR's, try cutting off the lower portion of the Blade Tech belt holster you offer so that the full-sized slide clears. I've sent thousands of rounds down range with no zero migration problems and complete satisfaction I would suggest that Crimson Trace issue a modified version dedicated to the full sized SR9 & SR40

I wish they would make a true laser grip for the ruger sr40c I think it would be much better than the laserguard

I have had this laser on my Ruger SR9c for over 6 months now. It was very easy to zero, and has maintained zero despite being my EDC in a variety of holsters, every single day out of those 6 months, and multiple trips to the range every month. I have put at least 500 plus rounds down range, and its improved my accuracy ten fold with this already accurate pistol. The only con I have is that it requires tools to remove, making holster options extremely limited. Which is why I gave it only 4 stars. But it is what it is on that front, if its not a Glock, 1911, Springfield or S&W M&P its hard to find holsters anyway. I highly recommend this outstanding product, and have to friends! Hunaric

I have Crimson trace on both my 1911 and my M&P 40 and love them both that way! So, when I got my SR9c I had very high expectations for them. They turned out not to be my cup of tea and made my gun feel very akward in my hands. So as much as I love my other products by CTC I didn't enjoy the LG449 much at all, but that's just one persons opinion and you may love them.
