I really love the accuracy that my CT adds to my S&W M&P 9C! And when I had an issue with the mount of the laser, Customer Service was super helpful to get me a replacement. Solid company!

Excellent service

The battery holder design isn’t very good. The one I was sent one of the batteries would pop out the second you stopped putting pressure on it. I am waiting for a replacement grip that is supposed to arrive July 1st we will see how it goes.

I have installed crimson trace sights on all of my pistols. I use them to check the accuracy of my iron sight aim.

Very good product

This grip would be great if the grip button worked. The grip itself feels really good in the hand but that makes no sense if the light doesn't work. Don't buy it.

The absolute BEST "add-on" to this firearm platform your $$'s can buy; I purchased mine over five years ago and it's still going strong; as is my M&P full size .40S&W! The batteries last forever- even with well over 2K+ rounds fired in ALL conditions. A perfect fit, excellent customer support/service and, outstanding quality ... PERIOD.

FIVE STARS!!

I bought the LG629 for my glock 30S,thinking that it would fit,however it definitely will not fit the 30S. I had to return it for a refund. I understand that some folks have modified the LG629 to accommodate a 30s. Wish the Crimson Co. would come up with a factory solution. I emailed them but got no response.

Disappointed. Didn't fit

The trip feels to slick and small. It is smaller than the stock grip and is hard to control! I will be returning it!

I Purchased The Laser For My S&W, M&P 45 Full Size, Only Came in one size the Large, I can see why that could be a issue for some But I actually use the large, It Fitted The firearm really well and the laser was Pretty much on target out of the Box, I Just was not impressed with the On/Off Button, it’s Recessed so deep it’s hard to turn off/on, I Understand it shouldn’t be too high, but needs some extra thought, But I Have 4 Crimson Laser’s, And You Can’t go Wrong With Crimsontrace, Great Product.

On target on the Money

No sight alignment needed , point , get red dot on target and shoot. In a time when having to use your firearm counts, it's the best thing to have on your self defense firearm. No one every wishes to have to use your firearm but if you do, you'll be very glad you have a sight that is easy and accurate and on point.. Best product I have ever bought for a handgun..

Perfect Sight

I got this for my G27. I had decided that I would be better off with a slightly bulkier grip than the Gen 3 G27 provides and was weighing options. I looked into this product thinking that it would give me the added grip size as well as a more reliable targeting method. I was right on both counts! I was able to install it myself and easily sight it in at the range. To top it off, I don't have to change holsters.

I purchased the LG-111 for my stainless, 2 inch barrel, 38 Special, SP101, that I bought new in 1989 (S/N Prefix 570-). 
 Installation was quick and easy. I recommend cleaning the grip area, and where the laser warning stickers go, with a q-tip and denatured alcohol to de-grease. 
 I pre-sighted in as best as I could with aligning the "dot" to where the sights pointed indoors at about 30 feet (trigger guard clamped lightly in a vice in my garage). Next, I went to an outdoor range on a cloudy day to fine tune, with three types of ammunition, at 7 yds. At this range, firing double action, I got 90 gr Hornady, 125 gr Speer +P, and my 130 gr cast handloads to all group in a centered 5-shot (15 total rounds) 2 1/4 inch group! The 130 gr handloads and the 90 gr Hornadys grouped under an inch within their respective groups. Better than I had ever shot with iron sights with this gun! Way good enough for an old man’s house gun. 
 
 The only issue I had was that the instructions in the Crimson Trace "Laser Sight Owner’s Handbook," for the LaserGrips Platform (what the LG-111 is) for windage and elevation adjustments were the EXACT opposite of what was stated in the book. I assumed that "left" in the instructions means move the point of BULLET impact left, "right" means move the point of impact right, "up" means move point of impact up, and "down" means move point of impact down. A clarification in the instruction book as to WHAT is moving “right,” “left,” “up” and “down” with the adjustments, BULLET or LASER impact point, would be nice! 
 Now we will see: if the zero holds, how long the batteries last, and if the zero holds AFTER a new battery install...... 
 P.S. I wish I kept the receipt, as I see there is a rebate going on now, pooh!!

I wish I got one earlier than I did!!

Love the lg- 660, took 1 minute to install and eazy to use. Battery las a long time but i keep extra just incase. I use the midium size strap and this feels the same to me and regardless of what holster you ise it works no problem. Excellent product. Wish i had one just like it for my m400 ar. Thank you CT.

Excellent in all ...

After being unhappy with several other brands of laser sight, I purchased this one in 2013 for my brand new M&P 9. 
 
 It was on target right out pf the box, and continues to be accurate to this day (4 years and 1000 rounds later). I never had to adjust it. 
 
 The only maintenance has been replacing the batteries, which are sent to me free for life. I absolutely love this product.

I have had mine for several months now. It has worked well on my S&W M&P 40 compact. I did have to cut off the safety. Since I am right did not need the ambidextrous safety on the right side. This something for the buyer to consider if lady handed and wants to keep the safety feature. Otherwise, it is a great product.

As someone stated above, the only issue I have is I wish they made it for the variable sized backstraps(only comes in large), similar to the ones that come with the firearm. CT did show me another product that moves away from the backstrap unit. Haven't purchased the new one.

Just curious, I am left handed and noticed that when I grip my gun with my right hand that the laser sight is blocked by my thumb. Is this normal for a lefty? I have had the same weapon grip for over 20 years and have minimally practiced several hundreds of hours of concealed weapon carry training and courses and put thousand of rounds down range and couldn't imagine changing my weapon grip to vary to something else to accommodate this laser that is mounted on the right side of my left handed weapon. Any thoughts feedback would be appreciated. I have contacted Crimson Trace and expect that they will help exchange this product for something that better fits my needs. I will follow up once I resolved my issue.

Any left handed issues with the laser being blocked with your right hand?

I'm older, and have difficulty sighting my SP101 with a 21/2" barrel. I put a CT unit on her, and can now put 10 out of 10 shots ( 2 strings of 5) in the 8-9-10 ring @ 45' with out trying!! The red lazer is clearly visible even in bright sun light. It made this gun a TRUE home defense gun. THANKS C.T.!!!

 Had it MAGNAPORTED,C-MORE front site replacement,
 and lastly... LG-111 Crimson Trace grips.
 
 Though the long version of the story is both long and interesting....Here is the short version.

 Where I live ,big yards,football field sized...full of trees,a creek... almost living in a park.
 
 MANY YEARS AGO...A VERY DARK NIGHT....
 6 young guys decided to break in the house next to mine...older lady's house.
 As just heard "bad noises",no clue who ,what,or how many...
 Circled around the long way around our yards ,came uo behind them about 30 yards away,in the total dark, Then saw them trying to pry open a back door and windows.
 
 Put a big tree between us then....................
 Within 5-10 seconds lit up/turned on and off my CRIMSON TRACE LASER on the door and windows right in front of them.
 The next 15-30 seconds looked like a comedy sketch.
 
 Best guess, they thought more than one guy aiming at them.....
 They ran....Right in my direction!!!!!!! thinking a safe exit!
 
 Ran right past me....coulda reached out and touched one.
 (I DIDN'T TRY)....
 
 Yeah, not pretending a big balled tough guy, I was THRILLED when all ran past me.
 
 I did grin a little when heard them fall into to creek.and splashing sounds as they followed the creek to leave the area.
 
 Own a couple of CRIMSON TRACE gripped handguns.
 Have no doubt ,that night the laser woulda helped if needed .
 If things went bad........
 
 Actually, without firing a shot......safe bet, it more than paid for itself.

 Still thinking about upgrading to the newer overmold grip version.
 
 Lord knows, they make great rounds for .357 magnum SNUBBBYs.
 And .38 specials have come a long way.
 
 Yet I still keep my SP101 loaded with full powered 125 grain ,jacketed hollow points.
 
 Even with my barrel MAGNAPORTED....Still kicks like a pissed off mule...lol.

A fun/SERIOUSLY SHORTENED story..worth reading.

This is my first Crimson Trace product. The installation was easy. The trigger pin swap was smooth and easy. I needed to slightly adjust the laser with the included hex wrench. Sighting-in took less than two minutes. I will confirm the sight alignment tomorrow at the range.

Easier and Better Than Expected

Only negative is too big for my hands! Need S&W small size. Broke unit trying to sand down smaller, will not turn on now! My fault, not CT.

Great product, simple to install!

I have Lasergrips on My Colt M-1991 and my S&W M-617. I use them mostly to train for muscle memory. The laser sights are a great training tool, and I can pretty much hit inside an 8 inch circle at 25 feet with the 1991 without using sights or the laser, as long as the weapon is in front of me at chest level. HOWEVER......
 
 I have a S&W M&P .45 Compact, purchased in 2010 or 2011, which I think is a great firearm for many reasons, and would be my first choice for a defensive weapon IF CRIMSON TRACE WOULD MAKE A LASERGRIP FOR IT!!!!! I call every couple of years to inquire, and get no, we don't make one, and no, there are no immediate plans to make one. Come on, can if be that difficult to make????

LG-661 for S&W M&P Compacts ??? Sure, with exceptions..

This is my 4th Crimson Trace product, and the more I use them, the more I want to them on the rest of my firearms. now, this review...Glock 27. Easy installation, easy instructions, and ready to go right out of the box...well at least the other 3 were ready to go right out of the box. This one, laser was dead on but low. First time I have ever needed to adjust one of these lasers, and this is my fourth. The only other thing, and it's not worth removing a star, is the included shim. Nothing in the instructions, at least it was listed as one of the included parts. maybe that's why the laser was low? Maybe if I think about it, i'll call customer service. they are always helpful and friendly. I have no doubt this product will not fail me. I trust my life to Crimson Trace.

A MUST HAVE ON A COMPACT GLOCK

I bought my crimson trace grip about 3 1/2 years ago. I like the laser grip, but am starting to see a metal tab that looks like thick aluminum foil poking out from one side of my grip. The laser grip still works good and holds zero after sighting it in. It's a good laser grip. 
 
 I do have one problem thou. I signed up for the free batteries for life and have never once received any. I also went to the trouble of sending an email to them about a month ago asking about the program. I've never received a response or anything. I think that maybe the free batteries for life is an inside joke or something. 
 
 Im giving three stars because crimson trace promises something and doesn't deliver. They also don't respond to emails when contacting from their site. The laser grip is a good product thou.

I HAVE A CT GRIP ON MY G30.IT WAS DEADON WHEN I INSTALLED IT. IT WORKS SO WELL THAT I'M GETTING ONE FOR MY G26.
 AS FOR THE COMMENTS ABOUT NO OFF SWITCH, YOU DON'T SEE THE RED DOT WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER POINTING DOWN THE SLIDE..

I purchased this sight and haven't had a regret. Once it was sighted in, target practice became child's play. It has paid for itself many times over. Works great for both day and night shooting. I carry daily for personal defense and it doesn't interfere with my molded holsters.
