I started out to buy the kimber master carry ultra 45 but couldn't find a new one at a price I liked. the one thing I had not have any hesitation about was these G10 black/gray laser grips. the grips came first and then the gun that would fit them came next. after several weeks of on line searching I finally found a new kimber super carry ultra 45 at a great price. what can I say, they came together like poetry in motion, the fit, the feel, the looks, made the entire project a pleasure. I've collected quite a few guns over the years but for a while now I refuse buy any gun that won't fit a laser grip.

Love the mix of smooth & tactical feel on the grips. Just barely have enough clearance in-between slide stop & thumb safety (left grip) as well as top of laser case in relation to the bottom of the slide but it should be fine assuming grips don't come loose. There's 1 - 2 mm of wiggle room for adjustment, at least on this specific gun. Feels good especially with the on/off activation button in the natural hand position. Dust shields are a nice added bonus in addition to the lifetime of free batteries. Keep in mind these are standard size grips which would require the use of full size 1911 grip screws & possibly full size bushings. Something to keep mind in case your current 1911 has slim grips with shorter screws & bushings.
