Crimson Trace Master Series G10 Black/Gray LaserGrip Red Laser Sight for 1911 Bobtail Pistols

I mounted this laser sight on my Commander style Robert's Defense bobtail 1911, and found the sight to be a perfect fit and accent to my firearm. Right out of the box, I got 1 1/2" groups without adjusting the aim point of the laser at 20 yards. I will now fine tune them for greater accuracy. I really like these grips and laser combination. The master on/off switch, is well placed on the left side grip. I wear a medium sized glove, and find these grips to fit me nicely, and they are comfortable. The texturing on the grip is aggressive in just the right places for either a gloved or bare hand. The grips also fit my holsters nicely without any modifications. I'm going to purchase another set for my full sized Colt 1911.

I added one of these to my S&W E-series two years ago shortly after buying the gun. I love the laser, but have found two problems that have moved me back to non-laser VZ Grips: (1) I strongly prefer a more aggressive texture for a more secure hold. 2) I normally carry inside the waistband, appendix position, without a holster. That's the quickest and most low profile carry I've ever found, and completely safe with a 1911 (wouldn't do it with a Glock or similar), but unfortunately the actuation button rests heavily enough on my belt to trigger the laser. That meant I could only have the laser switched on when the gun was on my nightstand, and even that functionally recently disappeared when the rubber over the actuation button wore away from riding on my belt. Given that most people carry holstered, and reflecting how much I like the instinctual TC lasers, I've only knocked my rating down one notch even though I'm no longer using my LG-906.

Just as stated by Dano, this laser grip is perfect for my carry firearm. The finish and color of the grips are surprisingly simliar to the G-10 grips that came on my Kimber. The laser also came out of the box perfectly sighted in for my needs. I paired this with my Super Carry Pro HD and a Wilson Lo-Profile II 1911 Compact Holster, excellent carry rig!!

I bought my Ruger P-90 and never even seen the CTC sights i was looking at the gun itself and didn't see the sights on the side at all, Anyway buddy of mine pointed it out while were going home. CTC sights fit so good and blended into the gun it looks to have come from Ruger that way. Fun to use too still work and accurate. My next CTC is going on Glock 21 Gen 4

My sole wish is that there should be a model with a thumb notch to get to the magazine release. Also, I have yet had the batteries for life registration process work.

Fit, finish and most importantly function for my Kimber Super Carry Pro HD with the round heel frame is awesome. Should come factory installed they work so well with this firearm. Any 1911 that makes a home in my safe will get a set of Crimson Trace Grips. Minutes to install and just a few tweaks with the world's smallest Allen wrenches and you are in business.
