I’m using this to learn how to play. It sounds great and feels like an acoustic piano. My teacher also says that it sounds and feels good. Assembly was easy but needs two people at some points.

The piano also incorporates key action sounds, key off simulation, adjustable hammer response, and a lid simulator with four positions, adding to the authenticity of your performance.
The PX-870 doesn't stop at string resonance; it also reveals the harmonic relationships between vibrating strings, adding a subtle beauty to the sound. This feature enhances the authenticity when playing works by composers like Debussy and Ravel, who composed with string resonance in mind. With 19 instrument Tones that can be layered and split, and a generous 256 notes of polyphony, the PX-870 ensures even the most complex performances sound perfectly natural.

The PX-870 is not just well-played and well-heard, but also well-educated. It includes convenient features like dual headphone jacks for quiet practice, a unique Headphone Mode that optimizes sound for headphone use, and a Duet Mode that splits the piano into two equal pitch ranges for student-teacher sessions.
The built-in Music Library houses 60 songs, with room for ten additional songs of your choice. You can record your performances using the PX-870's two-track MIDI recorder, or capture your playing as a two-channel audio recording on a USB drive. Concert Play allows you to play along with ten recordings of well-known orchestral pieces, with the ability to either listen to the piano part or silence it so you can play it yourself. To facilitate practice, you can even slow down these recordings without affecting their pitch.
Designed to complement any decor, the PX-870 is available in either a black or white finish. Its compact, elegant cabinet with sliding key cover adds to the beauty of any room. The easy controls are located to the left of the keys, allowing you to play without distraction.
