Questions & Answers

Shopper : Will this bag hold a Canon 7D in the front zip pocket with a 28-135 lens attached?MARILYN J : It holds my Nikon with the 70-300 lens attached so I imagine it will hold your Canon. If you have a big item in the front, it narrows considerable what you can put in the inside pouch (Lens fit standing up, but other items may not. If you can't get the version with the messenger strap (which I don't have) the bag gets heavy on the shoulder. I like it but I am sometimes unhappy that I didn't buy a backpack instead. On the other hand, when travelling, no one knows this is a camera bag.GAIL J : I would say yes. My Canon 60D with a 75-300 fits great, with room to spare. I'm not familiar with the 7d, but I believe it is close in size to the 60D. I LOVE my bag!LORINN R : Yes it will. The lens hood makes it tight and would fit better off or reversed. It's a great bag. I use the lens bag inserted when I have more gear. It's sold separately but a great addition for multiple lenses.MARY G : I have a 7D camera, but do not have the 28-135 lens. I can put the camera in the front pocket with an 18-200 lens, but prefer to travel with the 50mm lens as it lays flatter. You can store other lenses inside the bag standing vertically. When you put a larger lens on the camera and carry it in the front pouch, it takes up room to the back making less room for other things. I have the neopreme shoot bag that I slip inside with other lens, and it works great. I primarily use this bag for travel through airports. It holds so much, and can slip on the handle of my roll aboard. Hope this helps!CAROL L : Yes it will and very nicely. I carry a 7D with a 24 -105 all the time. I have also carried a 70 - 300 on the 7D. I love the bag, it is very versatile. There are two side pockets that will carry extra lenses or a water bottle. The inside also has a pocket compartment that will house another lens. I highly recommend this bag. No one knows it is a camera bag.WIESJE B : Yes - it's the best bag I have ever bought for traveling!
Harmony P : Does this come with the shoot sac inside or do you hae to buy that seperately?CAROL L : When I bought it mine did not come with the shoot sac inside, maybe due to the price. When they were in Las Vegasfor the Photoshop/ Photodex show the inside was included, however, they sold for $300.00CECILY H : No the shoot sac is a separate itemJESSICA S : No the shoot sac is not included. It does, however, fit perfectly inside. :)GAIL J : You have to purchase the Shoot Sac separately. I have both and although each are rather pricey, they are well worth the cost. I love the Tote and Shoot bag for traveling and the Shoot Sac is great - I hardly even know I have it on! Enjoy! Gail JBARB M : It does not come with a shootsacJENNIFER O : There is NO separate shoot sac. The camera fits inside the front zippered pouch which has a cushion you place inside so it stays padded. The larger top-loading area is large enough to fit multiple lenses, flashes, or everyday needs. And the zippered pocket on the back fits an iPad nicely....... Or if you unzip it.... It slides over you roll-on luggage handle!!!
Shopper : Does the side camera pocket on this bag fit a bigger digital body such as 1D or 1Ds, or a gripped body? Thanks!DAVID D : No it will not. The pocket size fits my medium sized Nikon D700 body fairly tight. I can get my camera in most of the way with a small 50mm prime lens attached, but I do not see a larger camera body being able to fit in there.JOANN W : I did not purchase this type bag. The product I purchased works well with a small camera body snd small lenses. For anything larger I use Think Tank messagenger bags. Hope this helps.JENNIFER N : I'm sorry to say it doesn't. The pockets are too narrow for a larger lens. GLENDA B : Hi Glenda! I didn't purchase this one - sorry I can't answer your question with certainty. My shootsac has the flap - no side pockets. Good luck!

This was the bag I'd been searching for!

For years I have just carried my camera in my purse. I knew I needed more protection but didn't want to have to carry a camera bag AND a purse. I wasn't crazy about the purse-like camera bags that are out on the market, as they look, to me, like unstylish purses. This is not to say that I consider the Shootsac Tote & Shoot to be very stylish -- it's a tote bag. It looks like a tote bag, which I am fine with due to the functionality. I hesitated buying the Shootsac Tote & Shoot because of its price. However, I have not seen anything out there like it. I love using this bag. It is so convenient to have the separate front pocket where the camera goes. It is very spacious, and I have no problem putting my Canon 70D with an 85mm lens in there. The camera strap also goes in no problem. The bag comes with a long, thick cushion that I put in the bottom of the camera compartment for extra protection. I feel like my camera is well protected in there. In the main compartment of the tote, I can put anything I want. I've put extra lenses in there (in separate lens cases that I already owned), as well as my wallet, makeup, sweatshirt for my daughter, and monopod. The tote is made of a thick, supposedly waterproof material, so I would have no worries putting a water bottle in one of the side pockets. I love how this bag is designed, and it has been perfect for my needs. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it's a bit overpriced.

Includes a messenger strap & I love it!

I love my Tote & Shoot. I have not left the house with my camera in any other bag since I got it. It holds everything I need and I get compliments on it constantly. I saw a few reviews that said they wished it had a longer strap. They now come with a messenger strap too. Woohoo!

Great for Travel

I bought this bag after returning from a trip with my cannon xsi when the view screen cracked. After paying for the repair I decided that the purse was not a great way to travel pared down, I have a camera backpack, but it gets hot after a while and is bulky when using public transportation. This bag is water resistant so I don't have to worry about rain damaging anything. the outside sleeve is great when in the airport with my carryon. Doubles as a purse very well since i carry very little in the way of purse items when I travel. Carries my camera with the 75-300 lens attached with no problems. plenty of room for other lenses inside the bag. Only drawback is that mine does not have an over the shoulder detachable strap or the rings to attach one. I wish it did. :-( I think that would have made it a perfect traveling and touring companion.

Almost there!

As a whole I give this bag a B. Shootsac advertises this not just as a camera bag, but rather as a great tote that securely holds your camera. I really wanted to use it as my "Day out with the kids" bag, as it's advertised to work in that capacity. The bag, on it's own has no dividers inside, so if you need organization, you need something else. I ended up purchasing a diaper bag organizer, but I would've loved it if Shootsac had even just 2 divider pockets included on the inside end, instead of a zipped pocket. It fit my DSLR perfectly with my Tamron 28-75 attached, and I didn't feel I compromised either the safety of my camera or the capacity of the bag while the camera was inside. It was SUPER convenient to get my camera in and out, without turning the inside of the bag upside down. My primary gripe is actually the length of the straps. This is a one-shoulder bag. I prefer to carry something of this caliber across my body: both from a weight, and security aspect. I'd be OK if this bag came only with the handles, provided it came with the option to add a shoulder strap. It doesn't. It's just hard to lift kids up and down with something only over one shoulder. Especially when on it's own it weighs a good amount. Additionally the straps were too short to go over my stroller handle (which I'm remedying by getting some bag hooks). Like I said: thus far I'm happy, but if it had the dividers and a longer shoulder strap, I'd be in heaven.
