This Carson 8X32 3D binocular gets really good reviews elsewhere and I was looking for a top-notch lightweight pair so I thought I'd give them a try, even though they aren't one of the more well-known brands. In a nutshell, here are my impressions: The good - they are super sharp and clear, as advertised. The field of view is very good and there is minimal light falloff toward the edges. Field curvature is very slight but it's there if you look for it. But who looks at a bird at the edge of the field anyway? The weight is 8 oz. less than my comparable 8X42 Vanguard binoculars. Build quality, fit and feel are very good too, as good as any other binocular I've had. Focusing with the large rubberized focus wheel is comparable to my Vanguards but a little stiffer than other binoculars I've had. The included harness works well and is very easy to attach to the binoculars. The only negative, is that the eye relief seems to be slightly less than 19.5 mm but that's a minor point.
