I already had the LED version of this RAM and needed to add more, but the LED DDR3 ones are now pretty expensive since they’re older. These are exactly the same only without the lights and are performing perfectly.

the product was fine, except it didn't fit. Had my husband help put it in,because my thumbs are not capable of pushing. the memory wouldn't go in, so I'm sending it back within the 21 day return policy. I didn't get any instructions or return label, but will pay for return, it okay by me.

The extra 2MGs that I have for memory makes the new PC run fast and I like that.

The items came packaged very nicely but the performance I was hoping to get out of the additional memory did not come to fruitiion. I am still going to have to buy a new computer within the next few months.

I ordered the 1G Ram upgrade for my Compaq Presario V5000 over the website the price was very reasonable cost less than $30. It was very easy to install only required loosening two screws on the back panel, the memory moldule just snapped right into place, took less than 10 minutes to install. I am very pleased with the memory upgrade, the website was easy to understand and my product was shipped out within 24 hr. I was also pleased at how quickly it arrived less than four days it was here. Colleen

My computer was working really slow. I was ready to chuck the whole darn thing. I'd had it since 07 and figured it was time for a new one. My daughter stopped my plans and told me to buy a new memory card so I bought the one gigabyte card first. My daughter put it in for me and my computer started working a ton better. I then bought this one and now my computer zooms. Sometimes it's a little too fast but I'm not complaining. This works awesomely. I'm extremely happy with this purchase!!!!!

I have not installed this product as of yet. I tried to return the product but did not receive a RMA number. I was told to keep the product and the charge will be returned to my card. I'm waiting to check my card statement and or request another RMA number.

I was most surprised when I upgraded my wife's memory using non-HP memory. More "surprised" when unexpected system shut-downs trashed her hard drive. Her PC is working. Wish HP was clear that their memory was required.

I never thought that my Compaq computer with 2 gb memory would become deficient in memory but that time did come. I use Adobe Lightroom frequently with an external hard drive and it would crash occasionally. When the new chips came I immediatly installed them (taking the usual precautions) and it booted up normally. Speed of operation was very noticable making the computer a pleasure to use again. Lightroom still crashes occasionally but I guess I can't blame the computer.

Adding more memory (RAM) to your computer is the easiest upgrade you could imagine. The hardest part was pushing the sticks in. I had to use more pressure than I'm used to using, other than that it probably took me 15 minutes. It also gave me a chance to clean out the box - you wouldn't believe the dust that accumulates after two years. Plugged everything back in, powered on, and the system recognized the added Ram. I went from 3GB t0 7GB. HP even updated my device drivers automatically.

This was the easiest part to add to my computer. I watched the video about how to install this memory and I was able to perform this installation with no problem. I recommend other desk top owners that need more memory to first attempt installing their own memory before paying someone else to do it for them. Took me only a few minutes to perform. Computer is running great now.

This is a great addition to any PC, especially when doing high-end productivity applications such as Online Gaming, downloading music, and streaming HD-Videos on your PC. Anything that would need quality memory speed, this is a very effective tool to use!! This is something that is deafinitely worth the upgrade!! AWESOME!!

I ordered the 2-GB 800 MHz PC2 6400 DDR2 RAM on a Monday afternoon and it was on my doorstep Wednesday morning. Quick service! It was bought to maximize the memory in the p6000-series HP desktop we bought two months ago. After installing it, the improvement in speed when several applications, especially memory-intensive ones such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, were open in Windows 7 was immediately obvious. It was very easy to install, and for people reluctant to open up their PC’s case and add components, the HP “Upgrading and Servicing Guide” for their particular model makes it simple and trouble-free. I’ve noticed in several reviews by new owners of HP desktops that a manual wasn’t included (had to be downloaded), but on our HP model p6210t bought in January 2010 the manuals were pre-installed on the PC. Check the c:hpdocumentation folder. Or, click on the “start” button, then click on “All Programs”, then look for a folder called “User Guides”. Adding this RAM to our system was a relatively cheap and easy way to make a fast system even faster. I give it five stars.

Installed 2 GB RAM in an HP Compaq dc7600 refurb. Installation was simple sticks went right in. Performance has been as advertised. XP PRO recognized 3.0 GB RAM total although I now have 4 G installed (an expected result). Good product. Excellent upgrade for a reasonable price. Noticeable improvement in application performance (execution speed). The HP branding also provides an added confidence.

The Crucial 1GB 240-pin DIMM Memory Module (667MHz) is designed for Desktop Computers. A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected to each other.
240-pin DIMM is used to provide DDR2 SDRAM memory for desktop computers. DDR2 is a leading-edge generation of memory with an improved architecture that allows it to transmit data very fast. Each 240-pin DIMM provides a 64-bit data path.
To use DDR2 memory, your system motherboard must have 240-pin DIMM slots and a DDR2-enabled chipset. A DDR2 SDRAM DIMM will not fit into a standard SDRAM DIMM socket or a DDR DIMM socket.
The number of black components on a 240-pin DIMM can vary, but it always has 120 pins on the front and 120 pins on the back, for a total of 240. 240-pin DIMM is approximately 5.25 inches long and 1.18 inches high, though the heights can vary. 240-pin DIMM has only one notch within the row of pins. The notch in a 240-pin DDR2 DIMM is closer toward the center of the module.
