I successfully replaced a 1TB hard drive with this 1TB SSD, and my system now boots up much more quickly -- instantly compared to the hard drive time. I deducted 1 star because I had to order and wait for 2 additional pieces of equipment before I could install the SSD -- a kit necessary to transfer files, and an adapter to fit the SSD into the hard drive slot. Maybe that oversight was my fault, but it did take a little away from the experience. Otherwise I'd give 5 stars. Oh, and the sale price was right.

I purchased this to be the boot and program drive for my editing PC. I used the provided software (download) to clone the existing HDD and kept it as a backup for the OS. Boots and recovers from sleep super fast and this allows me to keep my working files and scratch discs separate for faster workflow. Installing into the M.2 slot required temporary removal of my graphics card but all in all it was a simple installation. I also like that it didn't take up any of my other drive slots so we still have plenty of room to expand.

I just upgrade my hard drive use SSD from standard HDD. I choose this mx300, because i have crucial hardware like memory. all working good. after install, i tested on windows 10 startup just 15second finished loading. open or transfer files, faster. good stuffs!

I use this for gaming actually, rather than anything photography related. It is even faster than I imagined it would be however, and I would highly recommend it. Adorama offered the best price and fastest shipping for this product at the time I ordered it, and it did arrive in just a couple of days.

I think the Adorama review pages for the version of this product that includes the adapter for mounting inside of a PC and card-only version that mounts directly within a laptop are combined. The product photos don't help either, because the card-only version shows the adapter. Anyway, I thought I was ordering the version with the adapter, but I received the version without. I had to exchange it and pay for return shipping myself.

Very pleased. This is my second such drive. After replacing the regular hard drive (HD) in my desktop, the speed improved significantly. After that I replaced the regular HD in my laptop. Again, the speed improved. In both cases, I copied and created a bootable image of the original drives. No problems. Everything went on without any problems.

unfortunately to me I didn't install yet but I have a 256GB installed on my custom computer and work great, I just want to upgrade to a bigger SSD; my plan to the 256GB is to move to my laptop. So I'm berry happy with this SSD...

installed with no issues. Laptop is working very fast with new ssd, but Crucial tells that speed should be 500mb, but when i tested it shows just 210mb. i bought it for ($) it is good item for this money, then i thought to bought second one but price hire now. I order sumsung 850evo for 160$ would like to see speed test when i get it to compare.

Easy to install. All I needed was a Phillips head screw driver and 20 minutes. This made a huge improvement to boot time and overall system efficiency.

It's a good thing I have some reasonable knowledge and experience with computers. It took me awhile to adjust the BIOS settings so my machine would recognize the additional drive and then I had to format it before it became usable. These are no big deals for an experienced user but a novice would probably be lost. Mt desktop is a Cyberpower gaming machine and there is nothing in the documentation about adding another drive. The new Crucial drive had no documentation whatsoever. Other than that - so far so good.

I used this in a new machine, so I can't compare its performance to anything else, but it's definitely very fast. It's cheap enough that there's no reason to save ($) and get a worse drive. Buy this one.
