The Comtek AT-216 Wireless Auditory Assistance Kit with Plug-In Enviro-Mic gives you a close-up on sound at work, home or on-the-go. With internal audio processing that emphasizes the frequencies that define speech intelligibility, the AT-216 produces the highest fidelity available from any personal FM system. Incorporating unique options and accessories, it affords users the ability to effectively communicate in difficult listening environments. Not only are FM systems the best way to improve signal-to-noise ratios to overcome the listening challenges of distance, background noise and reverberations, FM systems also significantly improve the effectiveness of hearing aids and cochlear processors.
The NTC-102 neckloop provides a wireless connection to hearing aids and ear-level cochlear processors equipped with a telecoil (T-switch). A unique environmental microphone feature adds even more functionality to the AT-216. It provides the listener with the ability to hear sounds from two sources: from the M-216 transmitter and from the PR-216 receiver's environmental microphone. The receiver's environmental microphone comes with enviro-mic that combines environmental sounds from the receiver's microphone with audio from the transmitter so that both sound sources are heard together. The micro-mini jack on the PR-216 receiver uses the M-4020P plug-in environmental microphone for the Enviro-Mic. This input jack may also be used with other accessories such as handheld directional microphones and clip-on speech training microphones.
M-216 Personal Transmitter
The Comtek M-216 transmitter incorporates the latest digital and analog technologies to produce low residual noise, wide dynamic range and extended frequency response rendering the most natural sound possible. The transmitter's microcontroller automatically sets the modulation for commanding or non-commanding audio processing when the corresponding channels are selected. The channel selection also sets either narrow-band operation on channels 1-40 (5 kHz deviation) or high-fidelity, wide-band operation on channels 41-60 (10 kHz deviation). The optional microphone mute switch turns off the microphone without turning off the aux input.
PR-216 Personal Receiver
The Comtek PR-216 Option 7 receiver is perfect for use as a "piggyback" receiver on powered speakers for remote speaker linkups and for field "point-to-point" RF links. This option makes it easy to achieve convenient speaker placement and on-location remote audio feed. The MBS-216 mounting bracket stand and MB-216 mounting bracket can also be used for optimal receiver placement. The PR-216 Option 7 receiver includes a BNC antenna connector with a short whip antenna (SLW-216) and line level audio output adjustable up to +15 dB. The receiver can be battery powered and has phantom power capability through the aux input jack. The SLW-216 is a rugged and convenient antenna ensuring dependable RF reception.
TM-10 Conference Table Microphone Adapter
The Comtek TM-10 conference table microphone adapter adds a whole new dimension to the versatile AT-216 personal assistive listening system. Simply inserting the lapel microphone into the TM-10 transforms the microphone into a table-top conference microphone emphasizing the frequencies that enhance speech clarity. Using the TM-10 allows the microphone to function as an acoustically tailored, "boundary-type" microphone by using the reflective surface of a table or desk as the boundary area that the microphone picks up. This allows the user to hear everyone sitting around the table eliminating the need to pass around a microphone. To use, remove the windscreen and tie-clip from the CM-183 lapel microphone and insert the microphone into the receptacle on the TM-10 adapter.
HH-185 Handheld Microphone Boom
The Comtek HH-185 microphone boom allows the standard M-216 microphone transmitter to be used as a handheld wireless microphone. It may be passed around in a group setting or held and pointed in the direction of the desired sound source. The gain control on the M-216 transmitter allows the user to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. The HH-185 boom incorporates a unique integral antenna design so that no external antenna is required while still maintaining the maximum transmission range. The HH-185 can also be used with the PR-216 Plug-in environmental microphone mic input as a handheld, "point-to-sound source" type device to add functionality to the AT-216 assistive listening system.
