I absolutely love this handy little tripod. It is strong enough to support a Nikon D-600 with a heavy lens, yet easy to carry in a small day pack.

Great for portability and quick set-up. However after 3-4 yrs of use, the head where it joins the 3 legs, gets wobbly when folded up, but it is stable when tripod is set up..Still cant figure how to tighten this piece as it looks rivited

Bought if for wildflower photos. Very strong construction and good ball head easily holds a Nikon D5500 and 60 micro Nikkor. Had hoped that the legs telescoped but they do not.. It is beautiful to look at and should be durable. Did not like the price but do like the quality level so I guess you get what you pay for.

I got this tripod to stick in my bag while I'm out and about, for times that I wished I had brought a tripod with me. This fits the bill. Legs fold in to give it a compact look. I love the fact that it came with a ballhead. Other mini tripods I've seen and tried, requires you to screw your camera directly onto the tripod and not the ballhead. Which means that you can only position your camera angle in one direction.... straight ahead. With the included ballhead, you can change the angle of your shot to however you want it. Only thing that I wish that they had included was a quick release tripod plate. That way, you can keep the plate on your camera and mount it to the tripod quickly. Another feature I love is the fact that you can reverse the camera mount and add your flash on it. I bought this mainly for this feature. I wanted a "grip" for doing off camera flash on the go. So, with this tripod, it's a multi use tripod for me...... tripod and flash grip. Another way I've found to use it is to open all the legs up while have your camera mounted on it, and you can use it as a steady cam if you have it resting against your chest.....for those with unsteady hands. Overall, I would recommend this mini tripod for on the go tripod and off camera flash photography. Solid, compact, and versatile.

This is not going to replace a full sized tripod, but if you are looking for something small to always carry with you, this one is the best and most stable mini-tripod I have ever used. Its built like a tank, weighs almost nothing and holds my E-M1 plus lens with no problem at all. I used to use (and like) an Ultrapod 2, and I find that the Cullman is sturdier, easier to set up, easier to adjust and a lot more stable.

Surprisingly well made at this price point. The ball head is very secure, and includes a flip around cold shoe accessory mount. There is a small recessed Allen bolt on the ball head to adjust tension. Large tightening knob is easy to tighten, even with gloves on. Rubberized bottom of legs keeps this mini tripod from sliding on slick surfaces. Round shape very easy to pack in any bag.

Absolute top notch quality at a low cost. Had to upgrade from the Ultrapod II which was marginal in terms of stability with the canon 5D Mark III and 24-105 lens. Ignore the weight limitations of the spec, though the ball head is the weak link in terms of stability (but not quality...it's well made). Ball head can handle setup above well, expect perhaps at extreme off center angles (like in portrait mode I can't tighten ball head enough to hold in place). I take camera on multi-day backpacks, and I'll happily take this mini tripod over the ultrapod.
