Down waste your time, mount does not fit.
IDK what this mount is for but it isn't an AR15. Once installed, it will not allow the charging handle to work properly. This is the exact issue people have been having for yours with this part. You would think Caldwell would fix it... BUT NOPE! they are okay with selling a horrible product.

I never knew I could love a sling for hunting!
I?ve hauled a rifle around the woods since I was 12. Usually, the same rifle I built with my dad, using the same braided leather sling. It was nostalgic. It was pretty. It didn?t work very well. The length wasn?t all that adjustable and it would slide down my shoulder and onto my arm, as well as start to slide backward, resulting in the muzzle pointing further and further behind me instead of straight up. This meant that I had to re-adjust every minute or two. I initially thought this sling looked like something very commercial, not at all traditional, and wide where it sits on the shoulder. As it turns out, this is my new favorite sling! It does not slide down, and my rifle stays pointed upward. The width actually is pretty comfortable when walking into the stand and still hunting, wrapping my hand in a sort of ?hasty sling? fashion. And the best bonus I found was when a huge buck walked out and my rifle was resting on the sling, on the bar of the elevated stand in front of me. I simply left the rifle resting on the sling, shouldered it, and was able to quietly and steadily track in my scope until he paused and fired a great shot and THAT, that sold me on it. I want another one for other rifles.

Absolutely what I was looking for.
I bought this last week and installed it. The sling itself was perfect but the clip that was installed onto the gun was garbage. Either the divet was stamped in the wrong location or the circumference was sheared wrong. Couldn't rack the charge handle. Like the other gentleman stated was not buil to specs.

waste of time
Bought this at my local gun shop and installed it on my S&W AR-15 yesterday. I took it back today. The sling seems okay, but the sharp edges on the steel mounting plate ate into the aluminum clip. Also, the circular part that goes on the tube is so out of spec that the charging handle cannot be operated. One more thing - the paint on the clip is already flaking off.
