Caldwell Magnum Plus Recoil Shoulder Shield, Ambidextrous, Tan

I bought this through Scheel's at the suggestion of one of their sales people. It works very well and my shoulder hasn't been sore since I have used it. Having said that, I am a left-hand shooter and this is not truly ambidextrous. They made it for a right-hand shooter, including the awkward belt loop velcro attachment. I have to turn this inside out to use it and all of the tags are sticking out. To me, an ambidextrous product would be one that looks the same on both sides. That is not the case. And that is not the most annoying part. For a right-handed shooter, the belt loop attachment has a shorter tab in the front and a longer tab in the back. As a left-handed shooter, this is reversed because I've turned it inside out. What actually happens is that you have to put the short side through your belt loop and then grapple around to find the longer side to which to attach it. I'm so frustrated with it that I just ask my husband or friends to help me. Another issue is that the plastic clasped that attaches in the front is also inside out. The adjustable portion is made only for a right-hander so the excess strap which would normally be on the outside for a right-hander is now up against my body. Having said all of this, mostly to make left-handers aware of the issues, it does the job. But perhaps they should remove the ambidextrous portion of their marketing from these recoil pads because they're really just inside out right-handed shooter pads. The first photo shows what it looks like when I wear it, with the tags hanging out. The second photo shows how the shorter part of the velcro strap that is supposed to attach to your belt. Buckle is actually closest to your body, which makes it awkward to try to hook through a belt loop.

I just bought this and it does not fit.It is not a one size fits all.I have it maxed out and it is so tight .It looks well made but I am only 5'-11" with a 52" chest and this thing is to small I am an average sized guy by North American standards.It will be going back

I bought this recoil pad to sight in a new .300 WIN Mag on a bench. I was worried before the first shot, but let me tell you... it definitely reduced the recoil significantly! So much so, that after dialing the rifle to zero at 100 yrds, I went to the 200 yard range to sight in zero at bit farther distance. At my age recoil hurts, I actually finished the whole box of ammo before starting to feel the recoil.
