Solid Bench Rest
I had another bench rest and rear bag for years. Recently I was shooting with it and could not hold the rifle steady. The rest allowed the rifle to rotate. A friend let me use his Caldwell fox front rest and the gripping feature worked perfectly. It held the gun steady with no rotation at all. I bought one a few days later

Greatbfor bench shooting
Great for bench shooting. I was previously using a fixed front bag, which has difficulty dialing in at various ranges with benches. This make it much more solid and makes it easier to dial in the front rest. I tyoically use a different rear bag, but having this stout fixed bag is a good fit while somewhat adjuasting the front.

The shooting rest your bench needs!
Amazing yet very simple. No more sand bags. I was looking for a simple solution to using sand bags with adjustability and this does exactly that.

Decent but lacking in quality
I purchased this combo a couple years ago and hadn't used it yet until recently. Bought a new .308 bolt action rifle and went to the range to do a barrel break in. I got about 15 shots in and the bag rest for the front stock split open in the seem......I guess the thread used to sew up the seems couldn't take the recoil from the caliber rifle I was using. I'm disappointed it didn't last very long and it looks like it's not even available for replacement.

Caldwell Rock Dlx Shooting Rest
This is one of the most solid front adjustable rests I have used. Clearly solid and stable unlike cheaper plastic models. Haven't used much as of yet but will be using in F class 22 rounds in near future. A little heavy to cart around but once set up, your good to go. Holds settings for easy repeat shots.

Works great, includes everything you need.
Easy to assemble, though not clear what all the parts are for based on the included assembly instructions. Works great and has everything you need to take it right out to the range. I like the large height adjustment wheel. Having a bag for the rear rest is better than nothing but for better consistency get a less portable single piece.

Lock Key Horrors
The ram lock key is problematic, does not stay in place and is hard to articulate the ram up an down. Poor design so far! Will us at the shooting range in the next week: so cannot comment on the rest performance yet.

Hard to beat for the price.
For the price this is hard to beat. for the rifle without a bipod this is a great rest, and the rear bag is great for shooting of a table, better than a sock with rice by a mile.
