Great features
I bought the rest about 3 years ago, and lost the top one plate (not very secure). I hope they sell spare parts.

Caldwell Rock BR Front Rifle Rest
Excellent front shooting rest especially shooting from a bench or prone with a rear bag. Very well made with great rough and fine adjustments for perfect shooting groups. One note however, you do need a medium high tall rear bag to level your rifle as this front rest is pretty tall even at its lowest setting.

Solid Bench Rest
Good solid rest that is hundreds less expensive than the next level of competition rests. The machining was a bit rough on mine so I polished the vertical adjust screw and chased the threads in one of the feet. Both issues would have been corrected with use so not a major problem. If you're looking for a well made bench rest at a budget price, I would recommend this.

Very Dissapointing
Purchased and took to the range. After one session of shooting about 100 rounds using this from a bench the bag has ripped along the seam between canvas and the leather allowing the pellets to spill out. With this costing as much as it does I expect way better quality.

Tighter groups
For the money, this is a great buy. Before owning this rest I used a fixed front rest and made most of my adjustments using the rear bag, it always seemed like a struggle from shot to shot, having to my position for every shot. With this rest you keep the rear bag stationary and adjust the Rock BR competition rest for for elevation and windage. It works great and I was able to tighten my groups considerably. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. Caldwell was very fast with the order and had a good price. I highly recommend this rest, if you do your part, it will help tighten your groups and make your shooting much easier.

Good rest
The rest is really nice. My only problem with it is it wiggles a little bit on the base. Other than that, I can?t say anything else bad about it. It works like it is supposed too.

Solid value
Unless your going to drop 2k this is about as good as it gets. There are better rests out there and this is the best in its class from my observations. Group sizes decreased 20-25% vs sand bags.

Rock BR Competition Rest

As good as high dollar rests
I have both a high dollar rest and the Caldwell br model. As far as performance I could have saved a lot of money had I bought this rest first. Really no difference other than cost. Highly recommend. Only issue is the key wears down and can?t find where to buy more. With out it rest has slop in it

Perfect rest for shooting a match that won?t break
Heavy and sturdy. Nothing else comes close to this rest without paying close to 4 times the amount. Been using one for years in factory rimfire benchrest.

This is the best of the best.
I have owned several shooting rests over the years and this one is worth it's weight in gold. Steady and precise, yet minute adjustments can be easily managed. I highly recommend the Rock BR Competition.

Worth having. Worth using.
Even though the cheap, plastic bubble-level fell off, this is a great front rifle rest to use. It makes no sense to have a level at all as most shooters will have a level installed on their scope. The user manual I received had the correct picture on the front cover, but the pictures and instructions inside did not match my BR. Also, what is a “spare key”? However, the windage adjustment and the rock solid feel make it worth having.
