Had one for a few years. No complaints. And unlike the other review it will work with ar style rifles with "pistol grips" you just cannot use it with a 30 round magazine

This rifle/pistol rest is just what I was looking for. Lightweight and inexpensive. It needed a simple strap modification for the the front rest. I used a Wrap it 18" stretch velcro strap. No tools required. I pulled the front rest out of the base and wrapped the strap around the bottom. It slid down into the base and everything lined up perfect. Caldwell should consider making this stand with a strap. Just a suggestion to the maker.

Bought this last year and am slightly disappointed. The distance between the front fork and the butt holder needs to be an inch or two longer to accommodate my rifles. Do you make a longer top piece?

This shooting rest offers great stability and control while zeroing my rifles.

Used it to zero in a red dot. Did a great job. Will recommend it if you're looking to perfect your handgun.

I bought this this stinger rest a couple months ago only used it, maybe 2 or 3 times at the range in the grass somewhere the gromma came off. I didn't realize it till I got home to try to call customer service. No response sent by email. They said they're not going to warranty it. Horrible, I sent them the receipt and everything and yes was an authorized dealer.Real bad customer serves.I won't buy another one of their products

If you have to move a lot of gear in & out of public range every time, & are not a precision shooter, this might be for you. Easily disassembles to become just a front/pistol rest, or to pack in a large range/duffel bag.. Very light. No rear height adjustment, as you'd get with rear bags or a fancier model. Fine for plinking and sighting in low caliber rifles.

What you need if you have to haul your gear to a public range every time and what to reduce weight. Not as steady as a metal version but works pretty well. Have this and an older model still in service for yeas at a private club.

Purchased this stand to help zero in my scope. I havent taken it to the range yet, but wanted to leave a review of how easy it was to assemble. I took my time and followed the instructions after accounting for all of the parts. Directions were easy to follow. Once assembled, it seems very sturdy, easy to adjust (front and back) and seems to be a good fit. Very satisfied so far. The assembly time took me roughly less than an hour...I took breaks for Iced Tea a couple of times.

This is a great stand, especially because of its transportability: easy to take to the shooting range or anywhere else. But alas, for a bullpup rifle it's just too long. A second hole in the back for the rear support would do the job and make the stand more applicable! Also the rear support's thread is too long and therefore it is too high. Because I own only a bullpup, I shortened the rear by 10 centimeters, drilled new holes for the rear support & leg and shortened the rear support's thread. It's perfect now!

Excellent vice. I was able to site in my lever action Marlin 45-70, MCX Spear, and multiple SBRs. The device is light weight and handles all recoil accordingly to maintain zero

Great little shooting rest. Nice and solid for the price. UPS delivered to the wrong house and lost my package, customer service was awesome and got my replacement out asap.

I have been shooting off "bags" for decades. When I wanted a true rest, this Stinger came popping up on my search. Holey Cow... It is awesome! Air guns, rim fires and even Center fires it performs flawlessly.

This rest is amazing. Works as advertised. One thing I have not seen mention is not only is this great for rifles it's also great for sighting in handguns with red dots. I got frustrated with other rest I have used in the past. The easy adjustment makes this super easy to use.

I bought the Lead Sled SI today and put it together and noticed that the pivot arm was not level with the frame. Not by much and it's still usable. Pivot bracket holes were off. I like it bus they need better quality control.

I'm happy with the quality but the rear cradle interferes with my cheek piece. The butt of my rifle doesn't sit down in the rear cradle as it should this creates a loss of stability.

The front portion drops down with light pressure. I have to hold the knob in order to keep the elevation in place.

I purchased this to use with pistol grip equipped rifles but found it will not fit that style of rifle. It works well with my other rifles and is well made.

Love the sturdiness yet versatility of the rifle rest. It certainly is a much better quality than the plastic model I own. You get what you pay for.

It's a great rifle rest. Strong and sturdy. I like how I can fold it narrower to fit in toolbox drawer easier.

Looks great on paper. Wouldn't know how it operates. Ordered over a week ago and it still hasn't shipped?

No doubt it reduces recoil. My issue is the butt of the gun is not so secure and slight movement is magnified; There need to be a fi to secure the butt of the gun from wiggling.

Kinda disappointed. I know it is inexpensive but all that needed to be done was add a little thickness or support to the base. It flexed way too much. Put some wooden stiffeners underneath the base and it helped but I wouldn?t recommend this product.

Don't go to the range without a STINGER!
By Curious J.
This is one of the best shooting accessories I have ever purchased, in over 40 years of shooting. I've had them all but this is my all time favorite. Does everything right and makes sighting in a scope a breeze! Honestly it's a must have. Priced right too.

The Caldwell Pistolero is the ideal handgun shooting rest. By combining 5 inch of horizontally adjustable hand support with 3 inch of vertically adjustable barrel support, this rest comes accommodates virtually every size handgun. In addition, the rugged construction of this rest is virtually impervious to the elements. This combination of versatility, stability and durability make this Pistolero the number one value in handgun rests.
