I love this film. It suits my style very well with nice contrast and shadow detail and an overall smooth grain and tonality. This is one of a few black and white films that I use regularly and the price is very reasonable as well.

A bit more grain then I thought but the price is good. The photos came out nice on a whole. While I would not choose as an everyday film, I can definitely see using it on special occasions. Certainly one that I would use for testing and general photos.

Great film, I'm quite happy with it. As an amateur, I can't justify spending $10 per roll on some of the more expensive film stocks. Fomapan does me just fine!

Still shooting this roll now, but was exactly as stated.

I've only shot a single roll so far at box speed and that was enough to sell me. I went a little aggressive with my agitating during development, which is why I think you can see the sprocket hole shadows in some of the images. Currently pushing a roll 4 stops to 3200 to see how it does. Will definitely be buying more of this filmstock!

You?ve heard people say before that Tom?s is inconsistent...poor contrast...dated grain and lacking quality. I say you?re all crazy! This stuff is amazing and the price isn?t even the main reason. If you want a film stock with character, depth, richness, versatility and it?s own voice then Fomapan 200 is for you. I?ve shot about 5 rolls prior to buying bulk and I?m already 5 rolls worth in with outstanding results.

I'd rate this at 4-stars if you like that "soft" look, not too contrasty at all. And you simply cannot beat the price!

I've been looking for a substitute for the late Kodak Plus-X, and this film comes close. I expose it at an EI of 125 and process it in either 1:50 Rodinal/Adonal or 1:1 D76. The tonality is very nice and grain is reasonably fine. For the price, it gives a high level of performance.

This is kind of quirky film. It tends to develop a bit thin and soft, and it is vulnerable to heat and humidity--some rolls I shot in the tropics did not survive very well. However, it does have a wonderful atmospheric quality, and if you want a dreamy or gritty look, it may be for you. I've had good results developing it with Diafine or with Fomadon Excel. I'd say its worth experimenting with, but you shouldn't rely on it for the photo of a lifetime. Good for portraits and street photography.

I love this film. It suits my style very well with nice contrast and shadow detail and an overall smooth grain and tonality. This is one of a few black and white films that I use regularly and the price is very reasonable as well.
Under the discerning eye of both amateur and professional photographers, FOMAPAN 200 Creative stands out as a versatile and high-quality 35mm black-and-white negative film. This film is panchromatically sensitized, ensuring a broad spectrum of sensitivity to all colors of light, which translates to nuanced tonal rendition in your final images.
Crafted to meet the stringent demands of sharp detail and fine grain, FOMAPAN 200 Creative boasts an impressive resolving power that captures the essence of your subject with high contour sharpness. The fine granularity of this film ensures that your photographs exhibit a smooth, classic black-and-white appearance without compromising on the clarity and depth that black-and-white photography is known for.
With a nominal speed rating of ISO 200/24°, FOMAPAN 200 Creative is adept at performing in a variety of lighting conditions. Its wide exposure latitude is a testament to its flexibility, allowing photographers to confidently overexpose by 1 EV (ISO 100/21°) or underexpose by 2 EV (ISO 800/30°) without necessitating any alterations to the development process. This means you can adapt to changing lighting scenarios on the fly, ensuring that you never miss the perfect shot due to exposure concerns.
The film's robustness extends to the development process as well. It responds well to standard development without the need for adjustments in development time or temperature, making it a reliable choice for both in-studio processing and on-the-go development in field conditions.
For those looking to create stunning prints or enlargements, FOMAPAN 200 Creative pairs beautifully with Fomabrom- and Fomaspeed-type enlarging papers, although it maintains compatibility with a wide range of black-and-white enlargement papers. This compatibility ensures that whether you're in a professional lab or a home darkroom, you can achieve the desired aesthetic for your photographic work.
The film is constructed on a durable 0.125 mm thick cellulose triacetate base, which comes in either a classic gray or a subtle gray-blue hue, adding an additional layer of character to your images. This sturdy base material ensures that your negatives remain flat and are less prone to damage during handling and processing, preserving the integrity of your photographs.
In summary, FOMAPAN 200 Creative 35mm Black and White Negative Film, with its 36 exposures, is an exceptional choice for photographers seeking a film that offers both the classic appeal of black-and-white imagery and the adaptability required for modern photographic challenges. Whether capturing the subtle nuances of light and shadow or the stark contrasts of the urban landscape, this film delivers consistent, high-quality results that satisfy the creative demands of today's photographic artists.
