A nice balanced film with wide exposure lattitude. Develops nicely in D76 stock strength, (there is an antihalation dye layer which will turn your chemistry a bluish green unless you pre-rinse with water, but it does not impact other film if you reuse the developer withput a pre-wash)

In this case, I’ll take quantity over quality. Not that this film is lacking in quality, I was pleasantly surprised by its sharpness and grain structure.

This is a review of reloadable plastic film cassettes. I would not recommend this product. The light-sealing felt flocking is very loosely woven. Little chunks of black lint are sched from the light seal when I even lightly run a finger across the slit where the film comes out. As film is pulled through these are shedding tiny black threads. Thankfully I noticed this before I put one of these into one of my treasured film cameras!! If you want your mechanical camera to ingest tiny pieces of lint as film is advanced, then yeah — these are the ones to get!

For a budget 120 B&W Fomapan is great, nice grain, negatives dry and scan nicely, I would recommend shooting at box speed as this film doesn’t push well

Because capturing the perfect shot often means working under less than ideal lighting conditions, the Fomapan 400 Action Black and White Negative Film is designed to deliver exceptional results even in challenging environments. This panchromatically sensitized, black-and-white negative film is perfect for photographers who need to work with short exposure times or under unfavorable light conditions.
The Fomapan 400 Action film is renowned for its low granularity and high resolving power, ensuring that every shot you take is sharp and clear. Its excellent contour sharpness further enhances the quality of your images, making it a preferred choice for professional photographers and enthusiasts alike.
With a nominal speed rating of ISO 400/27deg, the Fomapan 400 Action film offers a wide exposure latitude. This means that even if you overexpose by 1 EV (exposure value) (as ISO 200/24deg) or underexpose by 2 EV (as ISO 1600/33deg), you can still expect to achieve great results without any changes in processing. This includes not having to lengthen the development time or increase the temperature of the developer used.
For those looking to make prints or enlargements, Fomabrom- and Fomaspeed-type enlarging papers are recommended. However, the Fomapan 400 Action film is versatile and compatible with all types of black-and-white enlargement papers.
The film is based on a clear polyester base that is 0.1 mm thick and comes with an antihalo color backing. This backing will decolorize during processing, ensuring that your images are free from any unwanted color tints.
In conclusion, the Fomapan 400 Action Black and White Negative Film, 120 Roll Film, 60mm Wide is a reliable and versatile choice for photographers who demand the best from their equipment, even in challenging lighting conditions.
