Questions & Answers

GUSTAVO C : i just want to make sure it will work with a studio strobe and NOT ONLY with a flash like a sb900? i have a nikon d7000 and want to sink it with my studio strobes. ThanksVERNE P : I originally bought it to use with my D-7000 and SB800. They work just fine together. Later with my D-300 and SB900.MARVIN M : I really don't know the answer. I have used it only with my camera.
RONNIE L : Does it work on Nikon D7100?GARY M : Hi Ronnie - Yes it works great!MARVIN M : It works on my Nikon D7000 so it should work on the D7100. I really like using it. It is superior to that little Nikon device that only works on line of sight.MARVIN M : It works on my Nikon D7000 so it should work on the D7100. I really like using it. It is superior to that little Nikon device that only works on line of sight.PHILLIP B : Ronnie, like so many accessories for Nikon equipment, the pathways of function remain the same in the updated cameras. So I would assume you will like the wireless remote on your 7100 as I do on my D90. It is a great product.
Bill M : Just wondering how effective this unit is? How reliable? Why this, and not the Nikon branded unit?CARLENE M : i actually did not buy the product shown. i bought one very similar to this one, except there was no timer on the remote, no extra cables and no slot for another flash to go on top. To answer your question about the one i have, i haven't used it too much and wanted to have the option of taking long shutter shots with ease. i do have a little trouble getting it to take the photo every so often, which usually is because i had it on the wrong settings. i would recommend it if money is an issue because for a remote shutter, it does the job and does it fairly well too. But of course knowing it's not "NIKON" does make it seem not nearly as great... i do not know how well the nikon one is. i'm sure it has high reviews and will work well but you have to pay for the brand. Mine is quite reliable... at short distances of course... if you want longer distance, get a different one. i feel confident at 50ft but anymore i just hope it takes the shot. but i can say for that first 50ft or so, it works. conclusion: (from only using this like 2 times a month and having for about a year) I would say its worth the money, you really get the bang for your buck. It is reliable about 90% of the time i use it. But if money is not an issue and you want the full 100%, i would only assume nikon can give you that. sorry this is a rambling review, i hope this answered your questions.BRANDON D : I've used this unit routinely over the last two years. Great range, the built in timer is also really nice. I highly recommend this and have had great success with it. I'm surprised it doesn't cost 3 times as much.EMILY W : It works great!DAVID B : I never bought this one, I had purchased another model by the same maker and I was not impressedANDREY S : It works well with my NIKON7000.

Durable...

This wireless set is easy to use and understand straight out of the box. I didnt need to read the manual before getting started. I needed this set to remotley trigger an off camera flash for a portrait shoot. The shoot took place in the woods and at one point I dropped the 'reciever' into a lake. I dried it out with my cars air conditioner for 20 mins and it still worked like a charm. I give it 5 stars for being water-proof that day.

I have not had any problems with it

I chose the RPS from Adorama for price over the Nikon brand knowing Adorama stands behind all their products. The RPS has adequate range remotely for triggering the camera or from the camera triggering a flash unit. I have not had any problems with it.

An essential tool for professional photographers, the Adorama 3-in-1 Wireless Remote Control is designed specifically for Nikon DC2 cameras, including models D3200, D5300, and D7100. This high-performance remote control offers a robust wireless triggering solution, capable of releasing the shutter of a digital camera from a distance of up to 300 feet. It also has the ability to fire a studio flash, such as a monolite or an accessory camera flash, from up to 100 feet away, making it an ideal choice for both studio and outdoor photography.

Powered by a 23A battery for the transmitter and 2 "AAA" batteries for the receiver, this wireless remote control offers 16 unique channels to prevent unwanted triggering from other photographers in the vicinity. The receiver can be conveniently mounted on an accessory shoe, a light stand, or a tripod and features a hot shoe for speedlites compatibility. If your speedlite lacks a hot shoe, a PC cord is included for your convenience.

The transmitter, equipped with a hot shoe, easily mounts on the camera, providing secure and easy operation. It features a two-position switch for camera mode: the first position activates the auto focus and exposure, while the second triggers the shutter. In flash mode, the first position allows for manual flash triggering, or the flash can be synced with the camera's shutter when the transmitter is connected to the camera.

Both the transmitter and receiver come with locking shoes for added security, and a connecting cord for the camera is included. The package also includes an additional accessory shoe designed to adhere to the side of a monolite, ensuring the receiver is securely attached to most monolites.

The Adorama 3-in-1 Wireless Remote Control is also compatible with Nikon Coolpix models P7700, P7800, and A, making it a versatile addition to your photography equipment. Whether you're capturing stunning portraits in the studio or shooting wildlife in the great outdoors, this wireless remote control offers the flexibility and reliability you need to get the perfect shot.
