The connection pins on this do not match the pins on the D70s. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A D70s. IT WILL NOT WORK.

Gave this to my father, he already had a wireless remote release and he was very unhappy with it. This is one he wanted and likes it very much as it works as charm and is very reliable.

I purchased this when I misplaced my Nikon MC-DC1 because it stated that it works with a Nikon D80. It does not work on mine (and fortunately I found my Nikon release) - I am returning it.

I purchased this release for some macro work on a tripod. It functioned perfectly, but the connector at the camera immediately bent at about a 30 degree angle and was always loose. I RMA'd hoping to get the Nikon release for about the same money. Maybe I just got a bad copy.

I use this for a large % of my shots - 99% of the ones on tripod. I have used several wireless in the past - havelost them easily, had the battery die during a shoot and are sometimes difficult to program.

I use it for night shots, any low light and where I want insure sharp photos.

I really found the experience using the cable release fantastic. The first time I used it was for some 300mm photos of hummingbirds and they were so much better than the old tripod - press the shutter button method.

· The remote release allows the camera to be released from a distance of 36". All electronic, just plug in and use. It has a momentary release as well as a locking position for time exposures.
