This shutter release works perfectly with a Fuji X-T1. Half-press works to initiate focus and exposure (if your camera is set up that way). Full press releases the shutter. And you can lock it on for long exposures, which is why I bought it. Very inexpensive alternative to Fuji's remote release. Appears to be well made and ideal for my limited use.

I use this to get shack free long exposures when I want to do night shots. I is exactly what it is advertised as. No frills, but worth what it costs.

I bought this digital remote release to use as a backup to one I bought several years ago. I've learned the hard way that it's good to have backup equipment when shooting out in the field. The unit functions very well; however, I was surprised by its reduced size when compared to the Adorama model I purchased several years ago. The current one is about the same size as the Canon model--although quite a bit cheaper. So, all in all, I'm very satisfied with the unit.

This device functions as described. No need for batteries is a relief, and no need to aim it at the IR sensor. Helps relieve camera shake, and lets me be more comfortable working in numerous ways....

A remote shutter control is vital to remove camera shake resulting from pushing the on-camera shutter button. This remote allows all normal uses of the shutter button in a remote device.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I've experienced nothing that would make me believe that this will suddenly stop working. Since this is something I use only occasionally, I saw no need to purchase a more expensive release. Just hanging out at the house, I've used it for at least 100 shots and there have been no hiccups.

I bought this item to use with macros for my T3i. It works well and makes macro and night photography a breeze. Aside from the function of this product, Adorama shipped it out very fast.

Better than expected, this release works perfectly every time. Well built and great value. Easy to use just plug it into your camera and push the button. So far I've used this release in extreme hot and cold weather conditions without a problem.

May sometimes slide to hold shutter mode and ruin a shot.

I have been a photographer all my adult life. I am not 71 and have developed the shakes. I can not hold a camera still. I thought my photo life was over. With the remote shutter control and a Tripod I can still be active with my camera.

This works exactly as it says it should, and it has the appropriate connection for my Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Under the rubber "video out" flap is a jack specifically for the release. I've taken some stellar long exposures using this, and it's compact enough to fit nicely in a side pocket of my Lowepro bag.

Got exactly what I was hoping for. The G12 has a hair trigger on the shutter, and when shooting HDR or pseudo-miniature shots (or Macros, for that matter), even the slightest movement of the body ruins the shot. This remote allows me to get the shot and mirrors the on-body controls. Click, focus and hold functions work well.

Hm, let me think, do I spend $xx on Canon's release or $xx/1.77 on Adorama's? The answer is Adorama! It plugs in, you can go to the focus position and then trip the shutter. It can also be locked on. Just as good as Canon and nearly half the price/

This thing just works, and works reliably. That's all you can really ask for from an item like this.

I mostly use this when I hook the camera to a T-mount and shoot through my telescope. Focus is manual with a knob and holding this in my left hand I can manipulate the scope with my right and take great long distance shots. Fits in hand, I can use it with gloves. Only thing that could make it better is if it had a retractable cord.

I bought one of these for my XTi due to the good reviews. I do like it, however it occasionally misfires (ie - fires when I'm not even touching the button). Not too big a deal, but extremely annoying. Maybe I just got a bad one. Sometimes it seems to lock up too and I have to unplug/replug it for it to work. When I do this it tends to misfire as soon as I plug it back in. I recommend it nonetheless for the photographer on a tight budget. I will likely replace it with a Canon remote in the future.

The only downside I can think of is that the cord is too short. Yes, I knew full well it was only 3ft long. In most cases, 3ft is plenty long, but when photographing children in the studio, I like to be able to get down on their level and interact with them. With a long release cable, I can't be right down in the mix and not tethered to the camera. My next remote release will be wireless, but this one will stay in the bag as a back up.

to get the sharpest photos I use this and a tripod.

The remote release allows the camera to be released from a distance. All electronic, just plug in and use. 36" long, has a momentary release as well as a locking position for time release
