Shopper : how do you assemble the long handle sent with the mount?MING WAH S : use the come with L tool to totally un-scrool long handle and the ball head ( no tool needed) Put the long handle on the mount, made it tight, put the ball head back.ALEX N : did not need mount but worked greatJOHN T : There are 3 major parts 1 Top camera mount ball with thumb screw. 2 Intermediiate extension 3 Suction base The unit comes assembled without using the extension. To reconfigure using the extension, remove the top mount from the base by loosening or removing the thumb screw. Loosen the allen socket screw on the intermediate extension with the wrench provided. Reattach the extension to the base,, and then the top mount to the extension.MICHEL M : Unfortunately I was just the guy who ordered this item and shipped it on to Europe… I don't use it so unable to assist, sorry!

Very Strong

Great for attaching a cam corder too. Filming inside or outside a vehicle. Filming or photographing any place a tri pod wont fit or work.

Need exdendtion-bar using in the car

This is good for hold in the car for small DC. I draw the white marks on it, that let me easier to attach DC.

Great product

I purchase the Gecko to mount a video camera inside my car. The car is an odd design which didn't allow for the tradition headrest mount. The Gecko combined with a flash bracket allowed me to mout the camera from the sunroof. It would be great if they included a "C" shaped mount to use when you stick the Gecko upside down.

It success its job!

All I can say is that it success my job. Yes, you can tell that I won't give it very high score. It is the quality of the parts. It doesn't look like well made product and I have to worry all the time till the job done with my lens plus camera for about only 2 lb weight. I put it outside of my car while driving with remote and I will never put my expensive or heavy equipment on it even it is under the noted safe range. Thus I would recommend this to my friend but with a warning.

At 1st I was afraid to use anything like this to hold my HD video camera in fear that it would fall off... but this mount you can't pull it off... got some great footage using it, as i travel about 700 miles per week... and the price was right [...]

An tool for more creative photography

It is a tool not for the daily photography but for fun, sport, and creative photography. It is not a high quality device (made in China) but it is sturdy enough to fullfill your mission. My small dslr (Olympus e520 with lense about 2 lb) can be hold for a while without any problem but not for sure other big guys. You should make sure it is work on a smooth surface for the full power of its adhesive ability.
