Super cool film (and easy to respool). Had to move it to 620 spools and it worked great. Behaved exactly like the example photos and my lab had an easy time developing the negatives. Bought it as a fun film to try in a new camera and will definitely pick it up in 35mm for some other projects.

I was hesitant to snag this film. Most of the pictures I've seen are quite tacky to my taste - maybe that's just a lack of quality in many users' subject matter; being too reliant on the purple to be 'cool'. That being said, I personally really wanted that Aerohrome look; more of a focus on pinks. After seeing the umbrella diagram on Lomography's site (showing hue changes), I noticed that yellow becomes pink. And because I'm not down to drop $100+ dollars on a roll, I thought I'd take a chance on Lomochrome Purple. To achieve this look, shoot yellows, NOT greens. Any sort of green becomes purple; bright green, dark green, shaded green, etc... it all becomes a muddy purple void of much contrast. Luckily I live in an area with a lot of desaturated yellow brush, and it turns landscapes into that sweet vibrant pink reminiscent of Aerochrome. I guess this review isn't really that insightful - focus on subject matter and your results will be good. I personally really dig the yellows. It's definitely not an everyday stock for me. I'll purposefully keep track of yellow objects around town, and I can see myself breaking this out once every year or so for those psychedelic pinks.

It's definitely not for everyone....and I mean this in a positive way. The film is quite amazing with a wide range. Heavy grain. (personally, I love it) If you are an artist with a creative eye and have been looking for a film to elevate your creativity. I recommend it.

I got this for a project using my 1938 rolleiflex. I shot some bodyscape photos with this with settings for 400 speed. they came out great.

Rendering colors reminiscent of infrared film, Lomography's LomoChrome Purple XR 100-400 is a unique negative film designed to produce false colors with an overall purple hue. This ISO 400-speed film responds well to overexposure by up to 2 stops, which can be used to control the amount of color shifting within the scene. Beyond the surreal color effects this film provides, it is also contextualized by high saturation, fine grain, and notable sharpness.
One roll of 120 format roll film
This creative color film intentionally renders false colors, where blue becomes green, green becomes purple, and pink becomes yellow. Red and skin tones remain neutral for a unique effect when photographing people.
The film's nominal sensitivity is ISO 400/27 Degree, but responds well to overexposure by up to 2 stops (EI ISO 100/21 Degree). When overexposing this film, green tones will begin to take on a darker indigo shade rather than a bright purple hue.
Beyond the unnatural colors produced by this film, it also exhibits high sharpness with a fine grain structure.
Color negative film should be processed in standard C-41 chemistry.
