works as advertised

Sturdy construction. Does what it is supposed to do - adapts Nikon F lenses to the Canon EOS body. Adorama's price was the lowest, but the item seems like it should cost less.

Solid performance

Works well with my old Nikkor 24mm 2.8 on a Canon T3i. It's a little difficult to get off of the lens, but I don't plan on taking it off too often. The interface with the camera is tight, with no play. This is a small lens, so I can't speak to how it would work on something larger.

I would buy this product again

I use this product on a 30 year old Nikon 400mm telephoto with a Canon EOS body. I was very surprised how well it works and the pictures I got. I thought I was going to get rid of that lens, glad I didn't and glad I found the adapter on your web site. Thanks Adorama

TERRIBLE

I bought this converter to use Nikon lenses on the Canon 5D, but it causes the lens to wobble and is not made well. Also my 70-200 Nikkor does not fit on this adapter, the lens I wish to use for video. The 5D is not a good camera, being hard to adjust manually and is "noisy" in shadows. The Nikon D700 is better, but does not shoot video. I returned this converter.

NIce Build Quality, but a little Wiggly

Not a bad adapter, once you've adjusted the spring tension manually. Otherwise, there's a good deal of twist play in the lens (which makes follow focus impossible.) Adorama should check the tolerances and make sure that these are rock solid before sending them out. The units are nicely machined and look great and are definitely a step above the HK Ebay specials, but could be improved through testing.

Works perfectly for manual focus lenses

I don't know why this is giving some people problems with focus, unless it's the lens. It should be a simple matter of lengthening the flange-to-focal-length distance by 2.5mm, and this measures exactly that by my calipers. I.e. it is accurately spaced. I do wish it was a little cheaper. I also ordered a Contax > EOS adapter, similar build, same mfgr (Fotodiox)and it cost half as much. Maybe the machining is more complicated? Not much else to say about this item - it is basically just a fancy bushing.

You get what you pay for

Well it works, in that you can attach a Nikon lens to a Canon body, in my case a Rebel XSI. However, infinity focus is NOT where it should be, thus you cannot simply rack the focus ring to infinity and expect you image to be in focus. It is badly out of focus on infinity, and you must stop the ring prior to the infinity symbol to have sharp focus. It's also a bit loose and jams the aperture ring at times. I am able to make it work, and focus, using the Live View on the XSI. Curious to see how the more expensive ones fare in comparison.

Not as good as hoped

I'm glad that the other architectural photographer had good results from his but my adapter on a 28PC produced images with complex geometric problems that makes it useless to me. I borrowed another adapter from a friend and it was much better. Of course it cost five times what this one does. It will be ok for most types of photography but architectural work is extremely critical and my adapter did not cut the mustard.

It works!

This product does what is suppose to, it is just a bit hard to attach to the lens or camera. In general it does a good job.

Exceeds expectations in every way!

I had no idea when I ordered this that it would be so well manufactured and assembled. The adapter is surprisingly solid and durable, as well as a nearly perfect fit on both the Nikon F lens mount and Canon EOS body mount. There is no wiggling, tilting, rotating, or movement of any sort when a lens is attached. I was easily able to attach any number of older Nikon lenses to my 30D body, with no snags whatsoever. The focusing (although only manual) yields excellent (let me emphasize, excellent!) images, just as sharp as any equivalent lens made for the EOS system. I am thoroughly impressed with this product, and would suggest it to anyone with a large collection of Nikon lenses who wishes to use them in an EOS digital or film environment. It absolutely satisfies that need. The last point that must be made is the advantage to this specific product over other manufacturers. The premium is, quite frankly, unnecessary. Stop reading and add this to your cart!

Works flawlessly

I've seen similar adapters for sale that cost 5 times more but this works flawlessly! I've used this with Nikkor N and Nikkor PC lenses on my Digital Rebel 350D and the images look fantastic. Keep in mind this isn't a tool for casual photographers as you will need to operate this on full manual settings.

What I needed to do the job

I had a job shooting exteriors of a large building from several rooftop positions. Shooting with Canon, the 24mm ts lens was too wide and the 45mm ts lens was too long so I needed to use a nikon 35mm pc lens on my Canon EOS 1DS and this adapter made that possible and it worked absolutely perfectly. Images were tack sharp and in perfect perspective, the client was DuPont and the images had to be perfect, prints were 3 feet high. Thanks, Thom
