Not a bad unit for what I paid on closeout. That was all my buddy and I kept reminding ourselves of, when watching the so-so video and listening to the very poor sound (who cares about sound when riding?). Sound is not so bad when stopped and talking over the idling bikes, we'll be putting music over the vid's anyways. I'm impressed with the attachment options - I settled for the long rubber strap around the helmet, w/cam mounted on left side. My buddy likes his on the handle bars - a bit more shaky there - but usable. Great little unit - though I wouldn't have paid full price or much more than I paid for this one - and it priced to sell bigtime. If you can find this model it'll be on closeout most likely and affordable. O.S. may have discontinued this model - it's no longer on their website.

I use it to record rides on my motorcycle. It works OK for that. The good is that it was inexpensive and serves my purpose for day time recording. Came with enough adapters to find different ways to mount to my motorcycle, no problem. It is useless after sunset, the sound is useless, and the quality is for simple stuff only. The record times are pretty short. On a higher quality setting I get only about 30 minuets. It is not much more than a toy, but for the cost, it does alright for getting cool video where you otherwise would not bring out a more expensive and more delicate camera. For U Tube quality type recordings, it is a fun gadget. It is certainly not a serious video camera.

firstly buy a huge magnifying glass in order to read the tiny screen, make sure you're on 30 frames per sec then set the res to best quality otherwise your footage will be rubbish, VGA - 640/480 is the only realistic option, not great but OK! manual recommends formatting the SD card to fat 16 but i didn't bother with any of my 2 gig cards & it works great. once you finished with the settings don't touch that button again & ignore anyone who tells you the buttons are hard to press and fiddly - that's exactly how you want them! (no use accidentally pressing the menu screen & missing your great face-plant on the landing ramp!) left button is on/off & the big round button in the middle with the pic of a Hollywood Micky mouse camera- that's your RECORD. well done OS very intuitive, i don't even need to look what i'm doing with the controls because there's really only one, the RECORD button & its bang in the middle, excellent! OK now the niggles . . i couldn't get premier pro to load the AVI file on my xp home for editing & other editing programs just didn't like it. BUT . . vista's movie maker loves it (apart from not having the codec to play audio, downloadable though)i dubbed music over my days kayaking anyway & its came out fine. the auto exposure can be a pain if you're unfamiliar with how it works, basically it will expose for the lightest part of the picture (usually the sky) leaving the rest of the picture (usually the action) under exposed (dark)providing a spot metering function on the camera would correct this but would also make the camera more complex which would spoil the whole package. so if you want good footage here's an easy option to get round the exposure prob.:- tilt the camera slightly down when you position it on your bike, kayak, helmet etc. this will make the camera expose correctly & U'll still get all the action. hope this helps anyone make up there mind, I'm happy with mine & i usually wing about everything so there you go . . gotta be good!
