Buyer Beware - This is not what ships.

I ordered the item pictured here but what shipped, although labeled CZPUNK (the correct sku) is garbage. What I received is silver (not black), has rough (unfinished) edges on the F mount, wobbles, misaligns the aperture ring (which ends up on the side of the lens rather than on top), and most importantly, has no rear glass element so infinity focusing is NOT possible. (Naturally, as there is no glass element to protect, the lens end cap pictured does not ship with the item either). I would say avoid this item as it is essentially landfill material - while it does work, the focus is not reliable (the lens wobbles) and you cannot focus on objects more than a few feet away.

Great but expensive for Canadians

This adapter is hard to find but was worth looking for! I use it on an old Pentax screw-mount lens and it works well although everything is manual. It cost [$] but add $43 more dollars to ship to Canada. Expensive for a small piece of metal but not available in Canada.

Works as advertised!

This adapter fits the Nikon mount well, the screw mount on the lens is also a good fit. I'm using it on a Nikon D50, with my old 35mm film lenses from my Yashica TL Electro X.

Worth a try

The unit just did not feel right on the body mount. The force needed to seat the adaptor on the body was such that I feared damage to the mount. When the lenswas seated, the lens was upside douwn and aperture/distance settings were not visible without turning the camera over.

Awesome product!

I have a few M42 lenses from my film camera and they work great on my digital camera. Also a cheap way to have fast lenses without spending a lot of money, you just have to get used to manual focus.

Just works

Late 60's era Vivitar 135mm lens works fine on a Nikon D3000 with this adaptor.

EXCELLENT FOR THE JOB!

I CAN USE MY OLDER, NON-AUTOMATIC TOP-QUALITY PENTAX LENSES WITH MY NIKON D-60 IN MANUAL MODE. IF I WERE STILL USING FILM, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COSTLY TO EXPERIMENT WITH "UNSUPPORTED" LENSES, BUT IT'S FAR LESS BOTHERSOME TO EXPERIMENT WITH MANUAL LENSES NOW THAT I WORK DIGITALLY, AS THE LAG TIME FROM SHOT TO IMAGE IS A SECOND OR SO, RATHER THAN DAYS. NOW THAT I'M BACK USING MY TRUSTY PENTAX LENSES OFF AND ON, I'M CONSIDERING USING SOME OF MY WIFE'S OLD MINOLTA ZOOM LENSES.... I'LL BE BUYING THAT ADAPTER SOON.

Does The Job!!

I searched for an adapter like this for years and finally stumbled on it at Adorama. I have three legasy Pentax screw mount lenses ... 50mm f 1.4, 135mm f2.8 and 28mm f2.8 about 40 years old and in perfect condition. The adapter works flawlessly to mount these lenses to the front of my Nikon camera. Focus and aperture work as expected ... really a great find in my opinion. Make sure you use the included wrench to mount the adapter to the camera body.

I improved the wrong end!

I purchased the adapter in order to match a screw-mount 400mm telephoto to my Nikon FA. The adapter works fine; the lens (purchased at a country auction) just doesn't have the guts to hold up its end of the bargain!!
