I've been having issues with my computer for months now. the issue was diagnosed as being my AC adaptor cord. I ordered this adaptor, hooked it up to my computer and now feel as though I have a new one. This cord was great and solved all of my issues.

We had an opportunity to buy an out of the box Dell computer for half price but it did not have a plug. The correct plug was not easy to find, in fact we originally purchased one that was not compatible. We contacted Dell and they directed us to this one and it works like a charm.

DELL supplied a 130 watt power pack with my Inspiron laptop which uses a usb-c connector to plug into the Thunderbolt 4.0 port. That makes the Thunderbolt port unusable for anything else. I bought the 130 watt power pack with a 4.5 mm barrel plug to utilize the power jack and open up the Thunderbolt port. The power pack works fine but I shouldn't have had to spend the extra money to purchase an additional power pack. After all, what's the point of having a power jack if you're going to use one (of only three) of the usb ports to power the laptop.

Works great. Plus feature is the LED light in the connector to the computer, downside is the same LED light as it is a very bright night light.

This is the power adapter that should have shipped with my new Dell laptop. I am not happy that I had to spend more money to purchase it. The included USB power adapter took up the only Thunderbolt port--which is located toward the front of the laptop. Power cords should be at the back of the computer where they are out of the way.,

Works great with Inspiron 16 Plus (7620), despite the description not mentioning compatibility. Dell needs to update the compatibility list for this adapter to include the Inspiron 16 Plus 7620. The 16 Plus (7620) came with a USB-C adapter, which works great -- but occupies the only USB-C port on the laptop, preventing its use with an external drive or other USB-C peripheral. This 4.5mm barrel adapter frees up the USB-C port for other uses.

delivery was FAST! But why the wire failed in the first place? (where wires go into the male connection , that is connected to computer: the wire cover slips back after a couple month, and failed right after warranty ends)

OEM stuff is the best; this happened to be on special at the time. It came quickly; we were in need of it right away. Appreciated Dell for this. Only frustrating thing is Dell laptops don't accept universal power adapters for charging, only just as standby power, which with an empty battery is dicey.

My original power adapter sleeve had worn at the tip from the constant bending. My power source is on the right of where I sit and the entry point for the adapter is on the left of my laptop. Eventually the sleeve broke apart exposing the wires and even with tape, the electrical aspect of it became dangerous, even sparking. I ordered a replacement from Dell and it was shipped quickly and my computer is charged once again. I believe the power source should be on the back of the laptop so that the power cord is not compromised with being pulled in one direction or the other.
