Very nice headphones, the sound quality is good to very good . They are very light weight and comfortable. My only complaint would be the two very short cords that came with the headphones and no adapter provided to use with my Denon reciever.

They sound better than my Audio-Technica ATH-M20x, but don't hold a candle to my Grado sr80x or even Hifiman he35x. I bought them because they are closed back, for mowing and other noisy occupations. For that they are a huge improveent over the Audio Technica cans. I'm just glad I got them for almost half price or otherwise they would have been returned.

These are a great set of headphones. If they feel too tight on your head, just take a few books and stretch them out for a few days on a bookcase. They won't be feather weight like bose but didn't expect that when I ordered and they excel in other areas. Great sound quality and for the price, it's definitely worth it.

Solid headphones. A good sound. Comfortable. The wired cable is detachable, and comes with a set of two cables. It comes with a pouch, but I prefer to use a plastic travel pouch. Just rotate the cups, slide it into the pouch, then into my backpack.

In short, I think the Denon AH-D1200 are awesome. While watching a movie on my laptop, I noticed right away that the highs and mids are outstanding. The sound effects are crystal clear, and the lows (bass are punchy enough when listening to music or during an action-packed scene. However, while listening to music-only (e.g. Latino, rock, pop, smooth jazz), the bass is not as prevalent as some of my ?Other? headphones (B?e; S..y; or S??..r). The price point for my "Other" headphones range from $100-$350 dollars. My current headphones are getting old, so while researching for a good deal, I came across the Denon D1200 on sale for $99.99 plus tax. Despite some of the negative reviews, I purchased them anyways. I am so glad I did. The Denon AH-D1200 is a really good quality headphone. The headband is plush and the earcups are soft and fit perfectly. These are awesome headphones. If you?re planning to purchase an over-the-ear headphone for watching movies on your laptop, or enjoy listening to music without a heavy bass, I highly recommend the Denon AH-D1200.

Don't expect miracles here, these are pretty budget-priced 'phones. IMO, they're fine for watching video or web surfing but just don't cut it for any type of music listening. Bass sounds completely artificial and hollow. All other frequencies sound like you're listening through a thin cloth material. Anyone that thinks these sound great has never heard any truly good headphones. To be clear, Denon absolutely does make some good headphones, but no one makes good ones that cost this little. I only bought them because they were on sale and I was curious, but I quickly returned them.

These headphones are not comfortable. They begin to hurt my ears after an hour or so, which does not seem normal. I was really excited about these headphones because of the stunning review I saw on the website. However, after using them, I am left with a feeling of disillusionment. I will be returning these headphones and return to the search for better headphones.

I once had a pair of AH-D1100 headphones that got me more acclimated to a more emmersive experience with music & they did not disappoint, but the way they were constructed showed them to have unneeded duress on the plastic pieces, that connect the headband to the actual headphone speaker cavities, simply by opening the headphones up to put them on your head. This ultimately rendered them broken in short time. I didn't feel like getting parts at that moment in time, so I was trying to get another full pair but they were shown as obsolete, so I purchased like-spec AudioTechnica headphones (which are great & even sounded louder, but they weren't as comfy as the Denons). That was around 5 years ago... fast forward to now, & I'm missing that comfort, so i looked back into what I had known in Denon to see if they had an upgraded model, & Whamo! I came across these AH-D1200 pair & immediately got them on order, circling from the Denon site. They arrived in decent time, but when I put them on, nostalgia kicked in & the comfort level excited me through the roof! They are constructed better with a more pliable, yet rigid enough, connection between the headband & the headphone speaker cavities with a subtly sleek design. The sound is just as I recall with rich bass from the drivers & good-enough mids & highs. For a true sound enthusiast these are a great bang for your buck, but you will notice that the volume amplification is needed to enjoy these as an enthusiast would (but you shouldn't have to go close to or at the max to get that pleasurable experience). All in all, 2 thumbs up, but the necessity of the volume max gives me a little bit of a downer compared to what I have in the AudioTechnicas, but also the comfort gained keeps bringing me back to these Denon jewels.

Great sound, wonderful separation, they look good and are light enough to wear for long periods of time. I like these headphones more than a much more expensive pair I own.

These are simply outstanding at the price point. They have the Denon DNA. For use with an MP3 player or an iPhone/Smartphone, they are matched perfectly. Easy to drive. Plus, there is no sibilance unless it is present in the recording itself. Highly underrated but highly recommended. Balanced and musical from top to bottom (without either of the extremes over emphasized. Vocals are clear.

Excellent headphones. The tone response is balanced and covers the range from bass to mids to highs. A welcome addition to my home studio. They are extremely comfortable, as well. Like other Denon products that I have owned, the design is well thought out and the material and construction quality is superb. I highly recommend these headphones.

They're attractive and comfortable and the sound is very good. The problem is that the seal around the ears is so good that I couldn't tell how loudly I was speaking, which is a problem because I intended to use them for work. I contacted customer service for help but their response was useless. So I returned them.

I bought this pair of headphones directly from Denon for $99, a price much much less than other web stores (including you know who were selling them for. These are old-fashioned simple wired headphones (although there is a separate Audio Cable with In-Line Remote and Mic which I don't use.) They don't use Bluetooth and they don't have active noise-canceling. And, obviously, they are not earbuds which I have difficulty wearing. These attributes are what the great majority of folks want and so I would be disappointed but not shocked if Denon discontinued producing this simple headgear. But my needs are much more limited than the majority's. When I'm walking or doing light outdoor activities, I just want to list to music. And the best sonics are still produced through audio cable rather than via Bluetooth. So I was delighted when I found these. Paired with my Sony .wav (lossless) Walkman, the sonics are superb! (I rip the songs from my music CDs.) As other reviewers have stated, the build quality is solid. Also, these headphones are by far the lightest high quality over ear headphones that I found shopping around. That's important to me because I wear them for walking. I'm not sure if I will wear them when I work up to jogging again but that simply may call for a different set of headgear. As you can tell, I'm very satisfied with these headphones and highly recommend them if they suit your needs.
