I could use some tips on how to store programs as I have a hard time having League of Legends and Dawn of War and have room for Squad. I use my machine for normal internet surfing, job hunting and gaming when I have time. When I do have time I hope I will have mastered where to store my games. One thing on Xbox Pass. Can you have them sell access for a whole year instead of it being monthly? I am not a fan of small monthly payments. I think it would make my gaming experience easier if I had the ability to pay for a whole year.

This little workhorse, touch wood, has never let me down. It flies through my Microsoft Admin work and powers through my Production on Adobe Creative Cloud.

IMO Alienware 15 R4 is Alienware last gamer laptop. All laptops after are just relying on the name, they to thin, breakable, small, have solder on memory, and no room for upgrades. The Alienware 15 R4 will most likely be my last Dell laptop.

I have had few problems except when it got stuck in a loop and had to die. Then the battery stopped working but that's the only in almost 3 years of use.

Fantastic specs for the value. I have been using a Alienware gaming laptop for the past few years and this one has been by far the best purchase I have made. Plus the RGB is awesome.

This laptop is advertised as a gaming computer... however, it appears to be missing a vital feature for at least some, if not many, games. It has no number keypad. I have several games that require the use of the number pad for movement within the game. If this machine has that feature available, I've not been able to find how to enable it. I've searched on line several times, and cannot find any references, other than other people with the same problem. I finally had to purchase an add-on USB keypad. Additionally, this computer has a problem with recognizing it's own charger. It has given me an error several times saying the charger I plugged in is not the correct charger. The charger I'm using is the one that came with the computer, the only one I have. It does charge the battery, however. Not sure what's going on there. I have not found a manual that simply explains how to operate it (utilize its various features, such as enabling certain keys). The only manual I've found explains how to take the thing apart - add more ram, add another drive, etc. Otherwise, it works fine.

I'm having really fun with my Alienware 15 r4 , I had an MSI and no complain about that but it was really loud sometimes. This beast is very quiet and has a real good quality. But I think if u are student and you are using everyday at your school this boy is very heavy for your back. But everything else is good , and yeah I love this keyboard and touchbar.

the laptop itself is good for anything from gaming to watching movies and its easy enough to get started. my biggest complain is the battery life. I'm not 100% sure exactly how long its SUPPOSED to last but if I'm playing a game or movie without it being plugged in for more than an hour it shuts down. the battery drain is ridiculous and the computer itself gets REALLY hot really fast. not really a "lap"top because you definitely need to buy a cooler fan for the bottom or burn a hole through whatever its on eventually.

So far I'm really pleased with my Alienware 15 R4. The graphics are amazing and the system runs like a dream. The only thing I would change is putting in a bigger SSD, other than that? Perfect.

Amazing everything, but battery life seems too short. I've used the Alienware 15 R4 for about 4 days now and it is incredible, the keyborad and the touchpad fells great, the screen looks pretty too and lights are awsome. Haven't tested for gaming or music production, but i already can tell that this laptop is not made for use withou the charger plugged in.

Laptop makes loud fan noises when playing video games and randomly when using Google Chrome...? Moreover, the top half of the keyboard heats up and the section where the power button is whenever the fan noise goes on.

I have had mine for almost 3 years, I play mostly fighting games. MK!!, MKXL, SFV, PUBG, and all look amazing on 4K screen. NO lag. Still only have the 16G RAM (looking to upgrade to 32G)

This laptop works excellently as both a workstation and a gaming computer. It provides powerful hardware for a reasonable price and is enjoyable to use. My favorite part is the reliable and responsive keyboard. The laptop does get pretty hot sometimes and I've encountered a few blue screen errors, but other than that I have no complaints. So far, the blue screen errors have all been quickly fixed with software updates.

I purchased mine a couple of years ago. We had some good times, but many bad times. Multiple network issues, 2 hard drive failures, and now the CPU finally died. It was able to play the games I wanted and even acted as a host for my virtual environment, but not without consequences (games froze up, laptop randomly rebooting, etc). I really wanted this unit to last another year or two, but the warranty is out and I'm not buying a new CPU for this thing. My next gaming laptop will obviously be from another company.

Not just for gamers but a great all around performance PC with a lot of style!!
By Technerd108
I have never owned an Alienware product before and am not a traditional "gamer". I do like great design, quality and performance and this Alienware delivers on all fronts. This is not a light notebook like some other gaming laptops using a more plastic build. The all aluminum and magnesium body add a decent amount of weight but it is the most solid feeling laptop I have ever owned. Just be ready for the extra size and heft. I would strongly recommend a Alienware bag or backpack as other 15....
