We just set these up in the pool area after painting them to match the siding of the pool house.  We have them set low on the wall and horizontal with the bass speakers facing down.  The sound is fantastic and fills the area with a nice soundstage and great detail.  It's being driven by a HEOS Amplifier.

Great sound!

Very disappointed with these speakers - they are only 5 years old and only one now works. I took the faulty speaker apart and was very surprised to find connections, joints and other parts were rusty!
