I have had my Denon DCD-A110 player for over a year, I am happy to say that this is a fine piece of audio equipment. Every CD I play sounds fantastic! I even bought Michael Jacksons Thriller SACD just to experience it . I am not a Michael Jackson fan But, Thriller is a great album ! and it sounds wonderful on this unit, connected to a Yamaha AV Receiver and full Klipsch speakers all around! it sounds like the Artist is performing in my own living room!

I decided to add an SACD player to my McIntosh system about a year and a half ago. After extensive research, I decided on the Denon DCD-A110. I have been really pleased with my decision as this unit performs well and exceeds expectations. The sound is accurate, clear, and very real. The nuances and subtleties of the music are fully reproduced in a way that is pleasant and never harsh. My player is part of my main system which includes a McIntosh C47 and two bridged MC-275's driving Klipsch Forte III's. I use a Decware tube boost in the signal chain for some depth though it's probably not necessary. The DCD-A110 is solidly built and dead silent in operation, certainly of the same quality as the other gear in the system. Overall this unit both in terms of the sound and construction easily merits a 5-star rating. Well done, Denon!

I used to play all my CD, SACD, DVD-A and Blu-ray Audio discs on my OPPO UDP-205 universal 4K Ultra HD Audiophile Blu-ray Disc Player. I was using OPPO player a lot. OPPO closed factory in 2019, and there is not similar universal Blu-ray player on the market. I decided I want to get CD/SACD player at the same quality as OPPO and use OPPO just for playing DVD-A and Blu-ray Audio. I did not want CD/SACD with streamer. If I want Streamer I will buy Streamer as a single unit. After researching bunch of CD/SACD players my choice was this Denon Anniversary Edition DCD-A110. I don't regret, this player sounds after 3 months of using absolutely amazing. I replaced the power cord for AudioQuest power cord. I think to get CD/SACD at the same High End Audio quality you have to spent at least double price. Made in Japan feels good as well.

The Denon DCD-A110 Anniversary Edition is an amazing piece of gear. "Mr. Denon" replaces a 20 year old Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 3D CD player. Right out of the box, there is a gravitas and tremendous detail to the Denon. As great as the Nu-Vista is (and it uses tubes in the output stage, I can tell that the Denon is way, way better. Incredible micro-detail and far greater depth in soundstage than in the MF. The sound leans to the warm side ever so slightly, and is highly detailed without being thin or clinical. SACD playback is excellent, but it?s with Redbook that this baby shines. The CD sound is hi-res in every sense, and the player certainly brings older CDs from the pleistocine era into the modern world. That may be atrributable to the quad DAC set-up. Build quality is off the charts ... it?s a heavy beast with a beautiful, gun metal finish. The internals are chock full of high quality parts, so you can see that Denon focused heavily on sound quality. There simply is no empty real estate inside. If I had to nitpick, it would be: (a) no balanced outputs; and (b) lack of an "open tray" function on the remote. I don?t stream, so the lack of digital inputs is irrelevant to me ... this is a purist, old-school design in many ways, and is a statement piece. Plainly, the Denon will open up as it breaks in, but wow ... first track out of the box and the sound is just awesome. I?m really flabbergasted.

Amazing audiophile player. GREAT sound and soundstage and plays everything including SACD's , Redbook's and HDCD's. I'm hearing musical notes I never heard before. Top notch build quality should last for years and years. I give it a 10.

I have had my DCD-A110 for about 2 months now. I can tell it is still breaking in and getting better sounding as I listen. Even now, it sounds better than my once SOTA SACD players and my Simaudio SuperNova CD player. It is an astounding value, made in Japan and with the technology it has in it. Not a lot of features, it is really best used by those with CD and SACD collections. What it does not have for bells & whistles it has in improved sound of the discs played. I now hear the venue and background fully fleshed out of my favorite discs. This player deserves the best aftermarket power cord and IC cables; you will be further rewarded with the best this player can provide. The sound of this A110 is exceedingly natural and detailed at the same time; quite a feat for the money spent. And, did I mention it is an astounding value? It deserves repeating. Do not let the fact that there is not much fanfare or tons of reviews from the audio press about this player, this is an understated disc player that is superior for the money.

Defining audio excellence
For 110 years, Denon has delivered the most cutting-edge audio and video technical achievements.
Minimized paths
Circuits have been thoroughly redesigned to adhere closely to the "simple and straight" design philosophy.
High-grade audio components
Carefully selected components, optimized for the best sound quality.
Direct mechanical ground construction
Direct mechanical ground construction placed makes it so unwanted vibration is funneled directly to the ground.
Advanced S.V.H. Mechanism, Denon's Original Disc Drive Design
The DCD-A110's disc drive is equipped with the Advanced S.V.H. (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) Mechanism. Improvements in high-mass, vibration-resistant properties and the dispersal of resonation points, allow digital signals to be read from the disc with optimum accuracy under stable conditions.
Circuitry with Minimized Signal Paths
Circuit patterns have been reworked from the ground up to make the signal paths as short as possible and ensure that the original sound is faithfully reproduced across the sonic spectrum. As a result, interference between circuits and between left and right channels as well as adverse influences on audio signals are minimized.
Direct Mechanical Ground Construction
The integrity of musical signals deteriorates when they are subject to internal vibration caused by disc rotation or the power transformer or to airborne vibration caused by sound pressure from the speakers. To guard against such influences, Denon engineers designed a vibration suppression structure called "Direct Mechanical Ground Construction".
