I am still in the break in period, but I love the DN15. It is blending well with the rest of my system. It is definitely a massive presence in my small space. I am looking forward to pairing it with the DM70 and DM30.

Definitive Technology continues to redefine the correlation between size and sound produced by subs. I purchased the DN10 to upgrade a Supercube2000. Like the SC2000, the DN10s punch well above their weight class! Definitive is accurate when stating the 10" sub plays more like a 12" sub. Since this was purchased for my living room the 10" model was the perfect size but I am very curious to hear what the DN15 sounds like. As you can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, this sub does play below 30Hz but if you want to go deeper you will have to upgrade to the 12" or 15" model. Regardless of which size you choose, I highly recommend buying at least 2. I started with one, but the bass did not sound balanced in the room despite running the BP8020s which have subs onboard. Once I added the second DN10 the bass was smooth and balanced. To round out the system I matched up the DN10s to the DM70s to maintain 10" subs throughout the build. This combination created the highest level of balance within my listening space. Room correction is definitely needed to really make this sub shine but when it is dialed in you will have an amazing system.

I purchased this as a supplement to my other 2 subs m15 v2 and m10 v2. I did not expect it to perform so good! Also fills up my room without nulls and is powerful enough to go toe to toe with subs twice in siza and price!

I purchased a DN8 very shortly after they were released and I've been very pleased with everything about the sub since day one. it has a very modern appearance and fits well in any room in my house. the sound is the same phenomenal sound quality you expect from Definitive Technology products and it's a fair price point for what you are getting out of it. I needed something that fit a small profile yet carried some noticeable and clean bass for my man cave and this has done exceptionally well.

Wanted more bass from my eve audio sc205.Super low price for a DN8, no pass port, not port noise, shuffling, 200 watt rms,500 watt peak, auto off/on. No unwanted noise, bass goes down to 35hz which is what i wanted, fair weight (not super light) small footprint. Adjusted so the bass isn't boomy or teenager loud, for normal loud music more than enough power, good sound quality

We are using the DN8 with a pair of 3-way speakers to do a demo for distributed audio with a subwoofer. We have been thoroughly impressed with the clarity and power for a unit of this size. The subwoofer is not overpowering yet you can tell it's there providing the low end to enhance the sound quality.

I was looking for a sub that was small enough to fit in our bedroom but give out a strong bass. I was pleasantly surprised by such a small sub being able to keep up with my floor standing speakers and able to fill the room. It is very punchy and response pretty fast. I'd recommend this sub to anyone wanting to add that punch in a small too medium size room.

Used for a couple of weeks now, this sub (DN10) delivers all the goods you want in low frequency performance. Plus great design.

I'm not using this subwoofer for home theater, so I don't know how it well it would perform in that regard (I have a DN12 and two IW Sub Reference for movies). I matched up this subwoofer with a pair of D7 bookshelf speakers to listen to music in my kitchen. I'm using the high-level inputs. This subwoofer is absolutely phenomenal for music. I was expecting a good subwoofer, but I was blown away by how great it is. The bass is so clear and seamlessly blends with the rest of the music from the D7s. With this subwoofer, I've heard bass in music that I've been listening to for years that I have never heard before! I have the cut off at 80 Hz and the volume at about 40%. I have the subwoofer on top of my cabinets with the rear controls close to the wall, so it would be nice if it had a remote control like it's DN12 brother; that would make tweaking my settings much easier. However, once I have the perfect levels set I won't be changing them, so a remote isn't terribly important. I highly recommend this subwoofer (at least for music)!

Great addition to my theatre. The finish is beautiful and the sound is amazing. I wanted a little deeper bass so I am adding an additional 12" next.

The DN8 is an excellent, versatile subwoofer. While it makes for an perfect home theater sub, I have found it to also be very musical and articulate, and it pairs really well with my Definitive speakers. I am running 2 DN8's, and the bass is deep and full, and tight and fast with music. A step up from my Definitive Supercube 2000, which was also excellent.

First off I currently have dual SVS PB16 ULTRAS in the living room and yes they are incredible. I wanted a 10" sub for the bedroom and got the DN10 and paired it with "THE FIVES" by Klipsch. I just cannot believe how badass this sub is. It makes me wonder what dual DN15's would be like. Do yourself a huge favor and just by one or 2 of these and I promise you will be glad you did as this sub exceeded my expectations.

Descend Series DN8 8" Subwoofer - Ready for Anything
DN8's unique 3XR Architecture means it performs louder and clearer than other 8" subwoofers.
Fits Anywhere: Just over one foot wide
Loud & Clear: Unique 3XR Architecture
More Bass: Like a 10" subwoofer in an 8" sub cabinet
3XR Architecture
More Bass from the Same Space
Descend's unique 3XR Architecture provides triple the bass-producing surface area of a traditional ported subwoofer. This extra surface area moves more air, resulting in massive low end. And because 3XR doesn't use ports, it also provides crystal-clear sound with no port noise distortion.
Passive Radiators for louder, lower, cleaner bass
As the core technology behind Descend's 3XR Architecure, its passive bass radiators enable the DN8 to play as loud and low as a 10" ported sub without unwanted port noise distortion. Passive radiators also deliver a smooth frequency response like a sealed sub, but with the port-like ability to play louder and lower in a smaller enclosure.
What you get is the best of both worlds: louder, clearer bass than a ported sub from a smaller enclosure than a sealed sub.
3XR Architecture for as much bass as a ported 10" subwoofer
Powerful Amplification
Maximum Impact
The DN8 is equipped with a 500-watt peak custom Class D digital amplifier, designed to get the most out of the DN8's 3XR Architecture. This custom amplification provides the Descend DN8 enough power and efficiency to play as low as 35Hz from a one-foot wide box.
Custom Class D Digital Amplification for immediate impact
Because the DN8 Class D amplifier is so efficient, little power is wasted as heat, and its entire output is dedicated to providing significantly smoother bass and greater impact. This allows the DN8 subwoofer to blend naturally into any audio system while producing greater volume and impact than competitive designs.
Control & Customization
Plays Well With Others
You can customize the DN8 to the needs of your application, system and space. The DN8 features built-in controls for variable volume, low pass filter and phase (0/180 Degree ) for optimum bass levels and the ability to customize it to the specific needs of your system.
Back Panel Controls for optimized bass levels
Manually adjust DN8's variable volume, low pass filter, and phase so it always sounds perfect within your system.
Variable Volume
Adjust the volume level of your subwoofer to ensure perfectly proportioned bass for your audio system and your room.
Low Pass Filter
Keep the bass clean by activating the DN8's Low Pass Filter. The Low Pass Filter ensures that only the frequencies intended to be reproduced by the DN8 get through to the woofer. 100% of the DN8's prodigious power goes to reproducing bass, and 100% of your amplifier's power goes to vocals, instruments, and high frequencies. It doesn't get cleaner than that.
Phase
Adjusting the DN8's phase control ensures subwoofer timing is tightly synced with the rest of the speakers, presenting pinpoint-accurate audio for movies and music.
One, two, or four subs for smoother bass throughout the room
While a single subwoofer can add bass and enhanced realism to any system, it may not provide consistent frequency response throughout the room.
When two or more subwoofers are properly employed throughout the room, sound waves disperse more evenly, flattening the frequency response. The result is smoother bass throughout the room, helping to eliminate boomy locations or dead spots.
